Reinforcing the Truth

I’m sorry, but what on earth does that mean?

Exploited?

The body isn’t “meant” to be large and muscular at all, hence why it takes so much damn effort.

If someone chooses to use steroids in order to be more muscular and ripped, who the hell cares. I’d rather see the likes of Phil Heath competing than the guys of yesteryear. (Who were all juiced up to the gills as well).

Hate to burst your guys bubble, but steroids have been involved with bodybuilding for a looooong time now. The guys in “Pumping Iron” (Arnold especially) used steroids. So, you really can’t say that they have a “natural look”.

Thank you. I was waiting for SOMEONE to burst their bubble. Not only were they all on steroids, they were all pretty open about it! They weren’t even illegal back then.

What is your definition of “intended to be?”

Intended to be means thats the reason. We are humans, gorillas are gorillas, etc. We were born with are hardware, why plant new hardware in our systems (steroids) as if the hardware we were born with isnt good enough. Thats an ungrateful attitude.

The thing is, our bodies already contain testosterone, growth hormone, insulin-like growth factor 1 and most of the hormones that bodybuilders inject to make themselves bigger. So it’s not like they are adding “new” hardware into their bodies, just more of what’s already there.

Wow. How primitive. Do you drive a car? Why? That’s not “natural”. Are any of your clothes made from synthetics? Wow, that wasn’t intended. Air conditioning? Fat loss pills? Hair Gel? Big screen high definition plasma tv’s so flat they disappear when you turn them sideways?

Why do you wear shoes? Aren’t your feet good enough?

How about you run around and catch a wild pig. I’ll sit here with my bow. See who eats.

Humans are all about unnatural. Actually if you think about it, its natural for us not to be natural(animal).

Our strength comes from the mind, which back in return can give a great deal of physical strength.
If you think about it, lifting weights is unnatural, since you know, Ugg back in the day never lifted weights, he killed animals to survive.

triple 10sets, how high are you, on average, when you post?

I am dead serious here.

I would imagine the tenets of training used by guys back in the day are very similar to guys today, its just done a tad differently.

Its like this… You will not wake up one day and say “Oh Shit! I accidently look like Jay Cutler!!” Please call me one day if this happens. You learn from the best, follow their example, and then maintain when you get to where you want to be.

Bodybuilding is the ONLY sport where people cant get this into your head. If you could take lessons with Jordan or Tiger, you would take your notes and put them into effect until you got as good as you wanted to be.

But…I’m a newbie golfer and I don’t want to be as good as Tiger…therefore, Tiger would be the WORST person to learn anything from…because he’s too good. Find me someone who is only 1/3 as good as Tiger, let them design me a program with a fancy name like “Golf 5x5 super training”, and then I will be on my way to golfing mediocrity!

People think that way with regards to bodybuilding, I can only gather, because they feel less than. There is no other explanation for acting like those who have made the most progress should be avoided the most in terms of your own goals. If they can make those who take this to an extreme look like they have nothing to offer, they can continue acting like they should get an award for any small results they do get.

LOL another train wreck of a thread… If I didn’t hear these same retarded comments from drunk guys asking me how to get “toned but not big” when out drinking of all things I would have to believe this is all made up…

Ridiculous.

This must be the thread people were bitching about in the General Fitness thread.

This is a bodybuilding site. My goal is not 250 pounds but I respect those that have that goal and I come here to learn from them. They know how to add muscle and lose fat.

I can’t imagine going to a track site and asking “does anyone really want to run that fast?”

I don’t think he’s high.

He’s probably just that fucking stupid.

Gay, inarticulate, sloppy form on exercises, full of roids… who gives a shit. Levrone worked his ass off. He’s what many of us would love to be built like.

Hell, Bertil Fox is in prison for a double homicide, but DAMN he had a great physique!

Sometimes it’s best to ignore how the picture was painted and just enjoy the masterpiece.
triple-10sets wrote:
I respect and admire his philosophy of “Im either gonna do the gym thing 100% or Im not gonna be in here” but the fact that he is gay is a new one to me and quite honest I dont know if i’ll ever look at him the same again.
All pro bodybuilders are gay triple 10. Didn’t you know that?

Seems pretty dense for a guy with a photo of his own torso in his avatar. You posted that so guys could jack off to you right?

Dammit that was my post. Changing the world around him (including his own body) using his mind is as natural a thing for man to do as anything. Hell by that definition, typing away on a virtual piece of paper written and read by people you’ll most likely never see while sitting in an room thinking about how oiled up men in bikinis looked different 30 years ago than they do now is pretty fucking unnatural.

But on the aesthetics side of things, I agree the golden age was my favorite “body type”. Might be a bit of nostalgia as those were the first bodybuilders I saw when I was young.
