I do it out of convenience mostly. It works well with my schedule and I don’t need to be Tupperware boy this way… Maybe laziness is a better way to describe it.

For the most part, very well. I have been adding to all my lifts, getting in better shape, and maintaining a decent level of leanness while eating fairly liberally (compared to when I did the 6 meals per day thing).

Ya know, now that I think about it, I probably “fast” about the same as that. I get 8 maybe 9 hours of sleep a night. I probably eat dinner about 2 hours before bed and I eat about an hour after I get up.

That’s damn near 12 hours right there… Is that what you’re doing? I never thought of it as “fasting for
12 hours a day” though… Thats just normal eating when I’m hungry for me lol

I generally finish eating around 7:30 pm, bed at 8 or 9, up at 4:30 or 5, BCAA before I train @ 3 or 3:30 then eat when I get home.

This 2 gallons a day thing has me pissing like a racehorse. I feel better today, but I usually feel decent by wednesday afternoon. I’ll have to see how forcing water works next week.

Profx…I don’t think you’d ever use it yourself and I wouldn’t try to tell you what to do, since what you do obviously works for you. But, a fair share of people are IFing now…most I think are doing so LeanGains style. I’ve been doing it for almost a month…some days I’ll go all the way until 6pm fasted…just consume BCAAs at that point…train for another hour and eat all my calories/macros post workout until I sleep.

I’ve gained approx. 10lbs in the last four weeks…bodyfat has remained…I don’t think its catabolic…at the end of the day, energy balance is going to matter most…IMO.

I don’t do things that way. I am usually drinking the MAG-10 all day long at work. I eat when I get home and then again later at night after the gym. During the day, my intake may be about the equivalent of one of those steak quesadillas from Taco Cabana (eat that between patients).

I have actually cut back on the steaks and everything. The avatar pic right now was taken last night.

I wouldn’t eat like that to gain though. I am eating like that because it is working to lose fat while holding onto muscle mass. In fact, I am sure I have gained muscle since starting the diet.

We spread them out. 3 patients a day and the abs are coming in.

So I spent the weekend eating and enjoying myself the way I usually do. The only difference was that I forced myself to drink what seemed like a huge amount of water (powerade zero OK to sub in?). I did still bloat a bit, but not as bad.

Monday I drank as much water as I could (not as much as i hoped because of several meetings at work) then did a metcon type workout instead of an upper body push pull like usual. I am already basically back to my normal size on Tuesday morning. Good deal. I guess it was a lack of water? I always made a point to drink plenty, but I guess it wasn’t enough after all… Seems crazy to me that I would actually require 2 gallons a day…

Yes. I mix a gallon jug usually with 10 scoops total of the MAG-10 and drink that during the day. I am usually just drinking the Anaconda during training lately and then the MAG-10 at night. Honestly, the MAG-10 is most of my source of fluids through the day no matter what else I may eat. At most, I may got through a gallon and a half or maybe about 14 scoops in a day. Usually just the gallon lately.
