Do more of these man, this was great!
Good vid
520+80ish pounds of chains for 2 sets of 3. First set didn’t go have as well but still hit my 3 but had a really weird experience lol. I have had a Stye in my left eye for about 2 days and on my 3rd rep my hip popped making me really grind and pressure made it explode and my eye started filling and squirting blood lol. After re setting I hit another 3 for a much easier set.
Thanks to Alpha and Csulli about the video I have had a ton of positive feed back on the video so I almost feel obligated by how many have asked for more to keep them coming. Will try to do one a week or something. Just not really sure on what all to do them on lol.
You don’t really need any more “attaboys” but I just want to compliment you on a fascinating approach, impressive determination, and just being a pretty standup guy (your openness about AAS use, in-depth discussion of training methods, etc). I’ll be pulling for you to keep crushing squat PR’s and get that 1K someday. Given your willingness to think outside the box & use some unconventional methods to train your weaknesses, I expect that you’ll have a fighting chance at it. Keep grinding.
Bench Day today felt horrible barely could get into position being so sore from yesterday.
320 for 3 sets of 1, 1 set of 2
280 for 7
320 for 4 to 2 board
340 for 2.4 to 2 board
370 for 1 to 2 board
225+80lbs chain weight for 8
Activitiesguy- Thanks man means a lot for real thank you for the continued support.
I’ve been getting really tired of all these premade programs but I really like how you structure your training. I’m gonna start using that structure for my training.
Also, your squat is insane.
Was really nervous to put any weight on my back today I did something to my hip last Sunday and had to go to the Chiro and have pretty much had some serious sciatica and lower back pain so, every rep I had today was very cautious and very slow out of the hole. No where near a top notch day for me but all I was willing to push for today. Took 500 for a easy triple wrapped very slow. 555 for 3 singles I needed a 3 rep set but just was not willing to push the hip today. Finsihed with 600 very light reverse bands MASSIVE NOSE BLEED on the 600 for 2.
Strong squatting, but just remember to be cautious when it’s called for, because I don’t just speak for myself when I say I’d like to continue seeing you excel for years to come my man.
Thanks Vinny. I took it very cautious hence why I had zero pop put of the hole. But Nationals is in 2 weeks so I have to do something lol. But after Nats I can’t wait to take some easier weights for a month or so lol.
I hit a decent PR much needed motivation for SPF Nats and Cody and Joseph pulled into the 600s today. I am still very much babying my back and taking things slow and did my absolute best to not get pumped at all before any lift.

Awesome tunes and pull. How much difference does the deadlift bar make for you? Do you squat more than pull? Are you pulling conventional in competition now?
I messed up my hip a few weeks back and have been having a horrible time trying to pull Sumo so by default I am being forced to pul Conventional. My wrapped Squat is usually higher than my pull by a few pounds at least. The goal for this meet was originally 600/330/580 how ever now its 585/330/570. My unwrapped squat is very close to my pull but not quite 1:1.
As for the deadlift bar it makes a huge difference. Has alot more slack at the beginning of the pull so the bar is damn near just at my knee before all the weight breaks the ground. Smaller diameter and much deeper knurling means a much stronger grip. I am usually 5-7% stronger on a DL bar as opposed to a Stiff Bar.
Had to move feet in a little strained hip is just not letting me go wide which really is a bummer as I feel a good 10-20 pounds extra in that stance. But none the less today is last session before SPF Nats. Ill be competing as a 242 Junior ( real weight is only 227-230 but not taking a chance cutting weight since hip is already taking pounds off the board right now. Today every thing just felt great I made sure every set I just did it. No nose tork, no screaming, no psych up or spotter just did it. 550 smoked, 575 was off balance the whole lift but was still a easy squat, 600 little stick but pushed right through.
That 600 still looked like an eye popper. When is the exact date for nats?
the 20th next Sunday. 8 full days of Massage, stretching, and rolling. Yeah its was actually felt easier than the 575 I was really doubting the hip so I didn’t pop out like I should have. Lol but thanks for telling to stop letting 600 make me look weak ![]()
I hope you feel close to 100% at the meet brother! Can’t wait to see how you do!
Best of luck Reed! Been following your progress and you’ve been killing it!
