Grains and cortisol can be effectively reduced through oatmeal early in the morning, meditation, good quality sleep, and even fish oil is effective. Furthermore stress reduction strategies are also of critical importance.
As for cortisol as a benifet. Cortisol is like most naturally produced hormones in the body, it is best in balance. Our current life style habits (the majority) lends people to over produce cortisol which leads to problems.
