Hey Guys - I wasn’t sure if this was the proper forum or if it should be in bodybuilding…
Anyways, I’ve been doing the 100 days from ripped city cutting plan combined with a high volume strength training routine and I am starting to feel fatigued and I believe I am getting sick with the flu.
I am 6’1, 188, 8.5% BF, I am cycling calories between 2250 and 2750 for an avg of 2500 calories a day. (I am 40 days in to the ripped city plan).
Recently - my muscles have felt depleted when I workout, they look flat, and I’m starting to feel sick/fatigued. What is the best plan of recovery? Should I take a week off strength training? I was thinking about upping the cals for a week to an avg of 3000, but continuing to do the cardio/strength training…
Also - is there any way I can make my muscles pump out again and stop being so flat, I remember reading somethign Thib said in one of his posts about wanting to stop because he looked so depleted…
Thanks for the help, let me know if there are any other questions you have.
i’m not familiar with ripped city, but what is your carb intake like? if it’s been restricted for a while, you might need to throw a carb up day in every so often
Let me tell ya, a lot of soup will got a long ways in making me feel like I am back at it again. Here’s a tip, drink a couple bowls of soup and keep drinking water. I add sage, cloves, and chives to my chicken soup to give it an extra kick of antioxidants and flavor. If you have a thermos than give that a go. Your coworkers might look at you weird if your drinking checkin stock all day long but they get over it.

Carb intake is moderate - I eat 2 1/2 cup servings of oats on training days along with a cup of berries. Also split 1 serving of Surge up before during and after training.
After lunch/training, only fibrous veggies, no starches.
I was curious if a carb up day would help - I don’t want to decrease fat loss, but at the same time, I feel sorta shitty
More protein. I was sucking down 200grams a day and 10grams bcaas a day with a girlfriend sick with the flue next to me in bed. Never got sick. It was awesome.
What about training? I don’t want to give up the cardio bc it would break the whole ripped city thing, but am willing to cut out strength for a few days
