No one is talking about PED’s or getting into contest shape. Bodybuilders do not make use of “body recomposition” as it is commonly understood. You are describing a true diet.
Body recomping can be done for example by:
-Eating in a slight deficit.
-Adjusting macros. I have seen guys (especially Indian men) change dramatically when simply eating enough protein as they tend to be vegetarian.
No one is doing this. You are taking it to dumb extremes. Being 30lbs over would require deliberate overeating.
So maybe I didn’t express myself well. What I meant was setting specific daily calorie targets or exact macros ratios. This involves weighing all the food you eat to estimate the number of calories or grams of each macro and then adjusting based on those calculations.
If instead of weighing your food and calculating its calories or macros mathematically, you use other strategies, like prioritizing certain foods or using visual cues (like filling half your plate with one type of food, a quarter with another, etc.) then, yes, you’re still indirectly adjusting your macros and calories, but that’s not what I was referring to with counting calories or adjusting macros. I was talking specifically about the proces of weighing food and calculating its calories or macros mathematically.
