Really Struggling Dialing in TRT

The common consensus here lately is not to worry about your E2. Goal is to get FT optimized.

True, but some feel the effects of higher e2.

What mark do symptoms have?

quit worrying about E2 and your life will be much better. Treat symptoms first and foremost and not aim for any mark.
The number will be what it will be. Nobody aims for a mark or should aim for a mark but if you look at men that are not on forums and doing great they are usually the ones with a free of 30 or more. Some do fine with less and some need more but its the symptoms you are treating. Take a look back at as many posts as you can from guys complaining or not doing well or continuing to tweak and adjust something because they aren’t feeling optimal. Look at their labs and see how many have a free T of 30 ng/dl or more…

Absolutely positively yes

I’m going by the older range <1500 and most see symptoms gone by 1500. I don’t know if you’re following but the last 4 months I’ve had Total T tested twice 97-119 (SHBG 14) and can only imagine where estrogen sits, but I’ve had erections the entire time and have functioned fine, which goes to my point that everyone has a different sensitivity to androgens and someone like me will have problems with estrogen and even testosterone anywhere near high normal.

We are all different for sure. We just have to start with a dose and follow the symptoms and adjust up or down based on the symptoms and yes the numbers. Sometimes the levels do come back very elevated and the dosage needs to drop as there is a point of diminishing returns past a certain point. One problem i see a lot and read on the forums is men putting all their eggs in the testosterone basket. Not all there symptoms are related to testosterone and so they aren’t all going away with TRT but yet they keep changing and adjusting looking for a fix that is not going to happen. Its hard to get some men to look at other factors. I think you do a good job of helping them do that.

Abstract

Estrogens are known to stimulate the proliferation of human preadipocytes. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the increased cell growth by these steroids are poorly understood. In the present study, we have demonstrated that the proliferative effect of 17beta-estradiol involves the induction of both cell cycle gene expressions, c-myc and cyclin D1. Moreover, the mitogenic effects of 17beta-estradiol are suppressed by the pure antagonist ICI 182780 suggesting that estradiol action is mediated by estrogen receptor (ER). We have also shown that 17beta-estradiol is able to inhibit human preadipocyte apoptosis capacity as reflected by DNA fragmentation experiments and the mRNA expression of the pro- and antiapoptotic genes. Finally, 17beta-estradiol significantly induces both mRNA and protein expression of RIGF1 in human preadipose cells via ER and thus reinforces the signaling pathway of the proliferative factor, IGF1. Taken together, these data reinforce the concept of cross-talk between IGF1- and ER-signaling pathways in preadipocytes and indicate that IGFI may be a critical regulator of estrogen-mediated preadipose growth.

Estrogens are known

They literally treat breast cancer with Tamoxifen, the fact you do not understand the connection here is astounding.

There are a MILLION of these, I could post them all night. But you don’t even need them if you understand why they prescribe Tamoxifen to those with breast cancer.

@increasemyt you do see how old some of these studies are, right? You do realize we have learned a ton about estrogen since then, right? You do realize that baseline studies of men not on TRT cannot be compared to studies using men on TRT? You do realize that when you give estrogen to a woman with low levels of it they improve? Same applies for men? They used to think we had to cause androgen deprivation for prostate cancer and now they are treating it with testosterone? They used to believe the nonsense you posted above about estrogen and cancer yet now they are treating with it? You need to get caught up.

How can you tell when your testosterone levels are too high and you need to drop dose?

Amped up, over stimulated, insomnia, loss of libido etc. I have experimented with higher doses and did not feel as good as I feel on my current dose. You have to find the best dose for you.

I ask you because I know you are sensitive as me, I get side effects from supplements even. What is your current dosing now?

I need a much higher dose than most guys to get my free T up to a level that resolves my issues. Surprisingly, SHBG is only 20. Last time I did labs I was doing 250mg a week, daily shots, and my free T was 28. Now doing 300 a week and feel better. Experimented with more and didn’t feel as good. 300 is my best dose that I have found. Most guys would have skyrocketing T levels at that dose. I appear to hyper metabolize the stuff.

I could be wrong but what us trt users want on this forum is advice from real life experiences from other trt users and when we get advice from people like yeti, dbodda, physio it is a big plus. Yes we can’t authenticate who you really are but most of us can read through the BS.

We don’t want people like increatmyt throwing up studies and expecting the person they don’t agree with to respond to all your studies. And if they don’t you claim they’re fake. I believe this is done to frustrate that person and push them off the forum. These people dont truly care about helping guys they care about their ego and perhaps getting clients.

We trt users can read studies on Google, again I (hopefully we) want advice based on experiences.

It is known. It is generally accepted. LOL dude you are too much. I think you have IMTDS.

IncreaseMyT Derangement Syndrome

@increasemyt I hope you and I will still be in contact once all the studies and research comes out that is currently taking place. That’s all I can say.

I have been here a lot longer than you and your friends so the chances are good

How many days after your shot are you being tested?
