Its way ahead of its time. Seems if you add farmers walks it be exactly what youd recommend now.
Ahead of Lonnie Lowry’s spot reduction.
His latest program on his personal site is an elimination circuit similar to this.
Awesome ty.
OH his elimination circuit was exactly how I ended up “modifying” built for bad. The ramping up/more circuits pretty important (and some exercises would fail before others). It makes more intuitive sense.
I bet the built for bad is gonna look pretty similar
Yep, I’ve always been drawn to strength circuits (built for bad, superhero complex, reality show circuit, etc.) if your gym allows it (equipment availability) they are awesome
I agree 100%. The times I was in a CrossFit box, where I could set up multiple bars, six weeks to superhero and built for bad were easily my favorite training programs/styles. However I can’t afford a CrossFit box so I don’t do them as frequently as I would like.
Don’t you guys miss the concentrated loading/pump that a split focused routine gives though?
Like doing chest/shoulders, ramping up heavy then doing assistance work. Huge pump.
Vs. hitting shoulders or bench in a circuit only 5-7 sets (lower reps)
You could always do a circuit one day a week if you want and train for pump the remaining.
Or do circuits 3 or 4x a week and then do a pump day or accessory work day.
