Realistic TRT Recomp Progress

I guess the difference for me is whether it’s an hour because I can’t feel my D anymore from sensitivity being so bad (which obviously sucks) or lasting an hour because I’m in control and just want it to last an hour because it’s awesome. I was def. the former before TRT. The latter… I could go for that, sometimes, but not all the time.

And my wife has had some crazy muscle issues that pretty much leave her in excruciating vag pain if I go that crazy very often so it’s not really much of an option, which is fine by me. I think I broke her when we first started dating, haha.

My wife would be sore as hell if I went that long. When we first moved in together (about 5 years ago), we were going at it all the time and she started spotting, so, we had to cut it way back. Either way, I make sure she has a mind blowing orgasm from oral before penetration so she is already taken care of.

That’s the way to go. Obviously, some like it rougher, but it’s a paradigm-shattering moment when you realize that – for many women – going at it like a porn star doesn’t give her the same pleasure as it gives you.

True. When we first got together, she was F*** me hard baby, I was excited about it and after about the first 2 minutes, she was crying for me to stop. Guess she read too much 50 Shades of Gray!!

After a week of testing my 10RMs (focus on form and TUT), the log book is loaded up for Week 1 of Mike Israetel’s programming – 5 day chest/back emphasis split – to commence next week.

Excited to see where this plan takes me in 2020. I’ve never done well with sticking to one plan or taking deloads. Here’s to reaching new heights – and making crazy gains.

It’s really amazing how it’s all laid out. Clearly backed by science, well thought-out – dude is legit. And the video demonstrations are great, too; I was doing some exercises wrong before. My only sticking point so far is how to really gauge 3 reps in reserve. I’ve only ever gone to failure or, at worst, 1 maaaaybe 2 reps in reserve. That’ll have to be something I learn in the process.

Yeah I have no clue how to not go balls to the wall.

Get 1 gram of protein per lb of Bodyweight…Frankenstein or not…

Concentrate on gaining strength…Not burn, Not time under tension…Strength.

A man you age should be deadlifting 500 and squatting 400 minimum.

That combined with your ability to cut and you will look awesome.

I completely agree with the 1 gram recommendation. But I can get there without Frankenstein…and eating whole foods feels better. I don’t want to be farting all day. And with all the gut health stuff coming out, I’d guess it’s not very healthy.

I don’t agree with the strength recommendation. Obviously there’s carryover between strength training and body recomposition, but I’m trying to sculpt the body, and bodybuilding approaches are the best in that regard. And time under tension is central to bodybuilding. That said, I do plan to incorporate periods of strength focus, like I did in November.

I’d love to lift that much weight, but those are pretty arbitrary benchmarks. Few people my age can lift that much while maintaining control with proper form. I personally don’t think I know a single one.

Why would I need to squat 400? I’m not trying to beat my body up. My joints feel great.

My mood and libido have unquestionably picked up since adding Cytomel. It could also be the increased T dose or daily injections kicking in, but I’ve been doing that since late-November, so I attribute it more to the T3, which I’ve only been doing for 2 weeks.

Mood: I’m just enjoying life more, less stressed out, more chill and smiling more

Libido: Could have sex almost every day. Get an erection each night even if I’m not ‘in the mood.’ Big improvement.

Amazed by how much facial hair growth has picked up since starting T. I went clean-shaven a week ago. It used to take me a month to grow it all back. Now, it’s almost already all regrown.

I’m feeling you on that one. I used to shave once a week at most, now it’s like every other day. 3-4 days and I look hairier than I ever was pre TRT

It must be pretty potent - DHT effects? - to explain how trans people start growing facial hair. Any idea how much T they take?

This is what started happening for me at the end of week 8. There was zero difference before then.
