I hear you, brother. I’m excited to optimize thyroid and presumably feel better but would far rather address the root cause (and prevent any issues that could arise down the road).
Just don’t know what other testing I could have done; it feels like I’ve looked into everything and haven’t found a culprit.
Under no circumstances should you train more than four days per week. Sufficient time is required between workouts for recovery as well as growth. Keep in mind that if you don’t allow enough time for recovery, growth will never occur.
A lot of what you hear about testosterone replacement regards body composition (and, obviously, that is a major focal point of this thread). But the mental changes are truly the best part of TRT, IMO. You just carry yourself differently.
For example, a mechanic recently tried to take advantage of me, and I knew it. In the past, fearful of confrontation, I would’ve paid the outrageous sum he asked for. This time, I calmly stood my ground. He could tell I wasn’t going to be punked. I walked out paying $500 less.
I agree . More than anything you know when it’s time to rest. Every 3-5 weeks I take a week off and then my week back I take it easy and the bit it for a few weeks harder and harder.
What’s interesting is that I feel more ripped and muscular towards the end of my weeks off and week back. I tend to eat more and feel better.
Even on trt I feel tired lifting day in day out. It gets old to me. Maybe it’s more of a mental rest than a physical test.
Yah I agree. With hormonal balance you simply feel more confident and have more self protection: we also don’t seem to care what others think. I’ve changed 180° from a year ago. I just don’t give a F anymore. I take care of what’s mine.
I agree with you, brother, that the mental piece is huge. Time away keeps you refreshed and energized.
Honestly, even though I know that, I still never want to take weeks off. The last time I did, it was at @bmbrady77’s suggestion – that was in August, lol. I really needed it then because my body felt totally beat up, but if it doesn’t feel that way, I like to just keep going all the time. I don’t even like to take individual days off, but I make myself.
I love being under the bar and feeling the positive chemicals that flood your brain during exercise, and I also love that post-lift feeling when you’re just in a strong headspace.
TRT on its own would probably do a lot for any guy, but TRT + lifting consistently is like a revolutionary feeling – you feel UNSTOPPABLE! It’s a limitless pill
Love that, brother. The change in me has been crazy too, but still trying to get to that next level it seems you’ve reached. I bet the DHT boost for you has been especially sizable because of the cream applied to the scrotum – any idea what your level is?
I sent over an email about this, but I was only able to order 5 mcg or 25 mcg of the Cytomel and they were basically the same price, so I got all 25s – seemed like a no-brainer. But getting steady levels is now a hurdle. Think I should buy a pill splitter or maybe bite each pill gradually throughout the day?
Yah I would just split in half and or quarters. Or I would crush it up and dose that way. Sucks eating powder but it will be mote potent that way. Empty stomach and crushed up is how I take it, and it’s very effective.
So would you then just bite off a piece of it? Like if I’m dosing the 25 mcg at morning, afternoon, night, bite off 1/3 of the pill each time? Appreciate your help, as always
