Definitely. It takes me about the same amount of time to inject, and I’m sure I’ll get to the same point as far as not dwelling on the protocol. It’s just an exciting time for me right now as I’m so early on and discover new things that make me feel so much better.
Sure thing. My prep really was the whole week to be honest. Went super low carb that week. Probably around 50-70 grams. I took all seasoning out of the diet as well in efforts to hold less water. I tried to take anything away that could result in excess water. I stopped test 10 days prior to stage day and also took 1mg anastrozole daily for 10 days. Although not the healthiest thing I do believe it made a difference in my stage day appearance. I was drinking 2-3 gallons of water a day as well. I kept this up until about 5 pm the day before the show. At this point I cut off water except as needed for thirst. Just sipping on a water bottle pretty much.
Stage day I didn’t eat before pre judging and regret it. I couldn’t hold much of a pump. After morning pre judging I ate some chicken fajitas and chips. Also while backstage I had some carby snacks like rice cakes. Right before stage time I had some m&ms. The extra carbs did the trick and I felt twice as big in the evening.
As far as pump goes I did a circuit focusing on v taper. Resistance band lateral raises, pushups, pull ups. I just repeated until I felt nice and full.
Hope that helps man!
Really cool to see/hear what you did. That’s the kind of info nobody knows. We just see the jacked dudes on stage!
Helps a TON, brother — thanks so much for being willing to take the time to share! You are truly the man.
Did you do a carb refeed the day before the show? If you didn’t, do you wish you had? I’ve been pretty low-carb (tapering down to 100) and am contemplating having a high-carb (300?) day the day before photos. Wondering if this, combined with the lack of water consumption, would fill me out.
One more question…if you could go back in time, what would you eat in the morning before your first walkout? Did you have coffee or pump product/pre?
I would have done a 2-300 gram day. The day before and have oats and eggs the morning of. I’ll do it next time!
‘After’ photos are in the books!

Take scale measurements for what they’re worth (definitely not always accurate), but I supposedly gained 5 lbs., lost some BF, and dropped 2 inches off my waist over these 8 weeks. Whatever the numbers, the difference is clear visually.
It was a real grind – almost like a ‘baby’ contest prep, as I religiously tracked macros and training for really the first time in my life – but I’m really pleased with the payoff! Motivated to achieve even more. But for now, I’m going to take a couple weeks off all the tracking and try to relax a little bit!
Damn man your shoulders blew up! Great work brother!
Appreciate that, brother! I think that’s definitely where I experienced the most gainz, and I think injecting into my lats has played a big role in that.
You were injecting test into the lats? I’ve wondered if there was anything to site specifity. I thought I had heard bodybuilders do that but figured it was probably bro science.
Oops, I mistyped - that’s what I get for responding during a wicked back/biceps pump workout! - I meant the delts. I haven’t heard of lat injections but I know bodybuilders inject all over, so I’m sure they do it!
Haha! I was trying to think how the hell lats played into the delts size.
What’s your weight in the pictures? Lookin good!
You should post a before and after together. You gained a LOT, congrats
Thanks, brotha! Around 180 lbs. and I’d estimate 9-10% BF
Appreciate that, man! For sure – here’s a ‘before’ shot.

Wow. Great work!
awesome work dude, getting me pumped on my own results as I am just entering my 6th week on TRT right now.
Thanks brother! How have your 6 weeks gone so far? Any noticeable differences in energy, libido, body comp, etc? I think the 6-week point is right about where I first started noticing real changes.
@bkb333 great job brother!!
Did you ever suffer an injury in your left side? The reason I ask is that it looks like you may have had an injury at one time to the abdominal area on that side. The left shoulder muscles look a little more developed as if the arms on the left side may be compensating more than usual for the core?
It very well could be the angle of the pic too. Not trying to pick you apart bro as you have made MAJOR progress and you should be proud as hell!! If this is true though, you could just have it in the back of your mind when doing your push exercises to try and isolate the right side a little more and bring it back to balance.
When you do your DB work, do it one side at a time and start with the right side. Push it failure and then complete the same number of repetitions on the stronger side even if it doesn’t go to failure.
Again, great work man!
I appreciate that brother! You’re the man.
Hmm, that’s a good question. I can’t think of any injuries to that part of my body off the top of my head – just a lot of lower-body stuff throughout my basketball career.
You’re right, though – there is definitely a difference in appearance. I had a DEXA scan a while back and my left arm was significantly leaner than my right (no idea why, as I am right-handed); maybe that is playing a role. You can definitely see the veins in my left arm way more than those in my right arm.
Additionally, my abs are slanted (sloping on a diagonal), which is strange. I have long wondered what causes that, and it’s more apparent now that I’m leaner. Not self-conscious about these things by any means, but I’d love to work on correcting them.
I’m definitely going to implement this! Great advice.
