i like to think that Dave Tate is better referred to as a public speaker, or powerlifter. if you train with someone like him, you almost automatically get bigger and stronger. and yea, he’s got a degree in nutrition, but he ‘ate’ like a fuckin cow. pop tarts, WHOLE cakes, 7 cups of coffee, candy bars, and absolutely no greens or fruits. its no wonder he started vomiting when Dr. Berardi tried to feed him some good shit.

and scott if you actually read what i wrote prior, i mentioned that trainers aren’t required, or even asked to give out nutritional advice. but i do. i recommend fish oil to everyone, regardless of weight or stature.

read Dave Tate’s article on the front page and he’ll talk about people who shit on you whether you succeed, or fail.

this is old. i recently hit 315lbs on squat. i got 335lbs up but my spotter helped me a bit, although he says he just touched me.
my DL vid is in one of my old logs, look for it.

I’d add some egg whites to your breakfast… I’d also figure out how your body reacts to milk by cutting it out…

I’d add some protein to your snack… actually if I were you I’d go get some flax seed and just down a shake with flax seed to get some fiber and healthy fats

I’d get rid of the sub for lunch… I dont care what anyone says… subway is garbage… eating a full footlong is not the way to get lean… I personally would go with a salad. I am a huge fan of egg salad personally…

edit: make sure there is a protein source…

snack #2 is fine… but I would change it to the same as snack one on non workout days… workout days use that pre workout

post workout go with Surge

dinner is fine but on workout days add in some brown rice since you say you handle carbs well

I’d also throw in another shake before bed (45 minutes after zma)

stick with that plan… if it doesnt work then I wouldnt blame the nutrition… blame the training… that plan should pretty much work for anyone

and to answer the 6 pack Q: 5’6 , 155 and dieting doesnt seem too extreme to me. Everyone has different goals. But I’d still recommend the Anabolic Diet–their is a huge thread on it here.

I still say anyone who is deadlifting 415 and squatting 315+ at 155 pounds should already have a very defined set of abs, else their training protocol is probably the first problem.

415lbs was about a month ago. its probably more now.
and your equation is very, very off. a big lift doesn’t always equate to a six pack. so many haters on T-Nation. even if i did go out of my way to make a video of every effort, jealous fuckers like you would still be all over my nuts. what are your numbers btw???
