PS = I hate BB step ups too! But damn they are worth it!
Weighted Chins? NIIIICE, I would feel like a badass too!

Owlie - Thank you. You’re so right about the ‘pendulum’. I’d love to be diet integrity buddies with you! Will we be keeping each other on track, or telling each other it’s ok when we slip and binge? ![]()
Spirited - Time did fly! It felt good to keep is short and quick though.
Work this morning, then squats this evening.[/quote]
Hey this is my first time in your log. Sorry about your Grand mother :-/.
On a more positive note. Sit on my face.ktxbi.
christina that IS fucking hilarious.
I just caught up with the last few pages of your log. Sorry to hear about all your stress
The ladies have given you some excellent advice. I can’t believe that anyone would have a problem with that ass!
Hi Raychelle. Just catching up. Sorry to hear about your grandmother.
Nice ass.
Lol @ Ronaldo! shakes head
I love how you say that the 7th rep of 160 went up slow. HA! You’re awesome. Also great work on the step ups! 85 is serious weight on those. Are you in a rack when you do them?
Hi everybody!
Grneyes - you want an out-of-control ass too? Heavy squats & deadlifts, & lots of delicious grilled cheese and chocolate binges do it for me.
T - I loves that you loves it.
I definitely plan to continue doing more metabolic stuff in my workouts, and get my diet back in check. I stole that Tabata from Molly - she did it with a 40 lb DB because she’s more bad-ass than me! haha
Spirited - I LOVE that cat call! Cat pics never get old.
Ronaldo - Thanks for stopping in, and for the condolences, and for making me lol. Sitting on faces is one of my favourite things to do.
CBear - Hai!
Pch2 - Thanks! Oh, and he’s always loved the ass, so that’s never been an issue at least.
Skye - Hi and thank you. ![]()
Masch - No, you’re awesome. 85 for the step ups was brutal, and I won’t be attempting that again for a little while at least, but thanks! I wasn’t in a rack, I was using a pre-loaded BB and stepping up to a bench.
I’ve been m.i.a. from here the last little bit, but I have been training, so I will update shortly! I’ve got the day off today, which gives me the opportunity to do some much-needed laundry (now that it’s sorted it looks like I’ve got about 10 loads to do - fuck), and I brought my car in to the mechanic for some maintenance first thing this morning. It was so nice out that I decided to walk the hour and a quarter across town to get home. All that sun has put me in a fabulous mood!
Ok, training!
5/13/2010 - Cycle V Week 1 Bench Press
(1) Bench Press 3x5: (Again making sure to really pause on my chest prior to pressing)
65% = 100 lbs x5
75% = 115 lbs x5
85% = 130 lbs x6
(2) Above the knee Rack Pulls: Hadn’t done these in AGES, and I was curious to see how heavy I could go with such a short ROM.
Bar x8
135 x5
185 x3
225 x3
Doubles at: 255/275/300 lbs (here I started using straps)
with straps:
315 x2
365 x2
390 x2
405 x2
425 x1
=> I was fried at this point, but feeling great! Those straps left me with some nice bruising on my wrists.
(3) v-grip low cable row 2x15: 70/85
That was that!
5/14/2010 - Did some metabolic stuff
2 times through:
Box Jumps x 10 (no arm swing, but I’m not quite badass enough to do them prisoner squat style like Snapper)
Mountain climbers (feet to outside of arms) x 20
Push ups x 10
Squat x 10
2 times through:
1-arm DB snatch x 10 per side with 35 lbs
inchworm x 5
2 times through:
Jump lunges x 10 per leg
DB RDL x 10 with 35 lb DBs
Jumping Jacks x 25
Wanted to do a little more than that, but I was feeling beat after my workout the day before, so I left it at that.
5/15/2010 - Deadlift & OHP day
Finally went out to buy a belt just prior to training and I was very excited to use it on the deads!
(1) Deadlift 3x5:
65% = 165 lbs x5 (no belt)
75% = 190 lbs x5 (no belt)
85% = 215 lbs x 10 (with belt) = PR!!
=> I LOVE my new belt! I felt like it made a huge difference on my money set.
(2a) BB OHP 3x5:
65% = 55 lbs x5
75% = 65 lbs x5
85% = 75 lbs x5 => meh.
(2b) 1-leg DB RDL 4x10: 2x35 lbs
=> Also starting throwing in singles of narrow-grip pull-ups between sets here. Did 10 singles over the course of the workout.
(3a) Cable pull-throughs 3x10: 12 plates
(3b) DB lateral raise 3x10: 20 lbs
=> Dropped the weight on my lateral raises to really focus on form to avoid any shoulder ‘shrugging’ - my upper traps seem to have been growing more than I’d like lately. If that’s from heavy pulling, then so be it, I’m not gonna let that hold me back. But if it’s from somewhat sloppy form on shoulder and upper back exercises, then hopefully I can nip it in the bud.
(4) 1-leg lying hamstring curl 5x4: 3 plates/2 plates + add-on x4 sets
Also added 1 set for my left leg of AMRAP at 1 plate: 17 reps
(5) 45 degree hyperextension 1 x AMRAP: 53 reps
Took 2 days off after that. Gonna head in today for squats! Also just got a call from my mechanic - the car needs a new gasket or something like that (I forgot already, shows how much I pay attention), so he’s got to keep it overnight. So now I’ve got to figure out the bus schedule to get me to work first thing tomorrow morning. Boo.
make the AM bus trip a people watching experience. that’s half the fun of going almost anywhere to me.
the other night at walmart, saw a girl in what looked like a prom dress. pink, sparkle, strapless, floor length. the 3 people she was with were in holey pajamas.
congrats on the PR and good work on adding in pullups!!
I do love me some people watching. Walmart has got to be one of the best spots for it, too.

I get my people watching done on the bus. The other day I saw two gorillas walking down Michigan Ave. Before that I saw a guy on a Segway talking on his phone driving the thing one-handed. Pretty sure it was a personal Segway since he was in street clothes and didn’t have any personal protective equipment on. He was going faster than the bus!
Wonderfully awesome training. 425 must feel wondefully awesome to have in your hands.
I love people watching, though sometimes I forget they can see me too and am a bit too obvious. Uh oh!
I need new adjectives. Wonderfully awesome, twice in a row? WTF?
Nice pulling. So, how exactly do you think the new belt helped you? I do plan on buying a belt soon to see if I like it, but I’m always interested in others’ experiences.
- a cop at my gym ( who regularly goes to walmart to people watch and sees 1/2 the people he arrests) told me about this site…
oh yeah, back to the weight lifting thing - pulling heavier weights made my upper traps grow very quickly as well.
I’m still enjoying my chalk for now, I’ll add the belt when I get frustraded again.
By the way Blue I must say that pics in said belt are required in these parts? Although I will leave it up to you as to the amount of skin showing. I’m just thinking of how that belt will make your ass pop out even more…Somebody hose me down here. lol.
Beautiful everything! bench press for 6 paused at chest?!?! wtg. my eyes are poppin out.
