Anyone watching any of it today? Got some hotties squatting right now!
dan green killed it, 165lbs mens has a new deadlift record im pretty sure, Dude busted out a 702 deadlift on his second attempt I believe. Been watching since noon. Some amazing lifts
Yea, Dan set a new total record at 2099 and a squat record at 784 w/o wraps.
"Paul Nguyen pulled a massive 718 Lb at 165 this year at Raw Unity, breaking Vashon’s previous world record of 716 Lb.
Paul and Vashon were battling it out in the 165 Lb weight class. After Paul pulled a successful 718 Lb, Vashon attempted 719 Lb, but unfortunately didn’t have it. Paul’s final deadlift gave him a total of 1587 Lb, I believe. Congrats Paul!"

Even if you consider the fact that he was probably weighing in the 180s, its still about 4xbw. It was a pretty smooth rep too. When I watched Vashon setup to trump the record, it just seemed like he was a little off to me.
Incredible lifting. I watched while I was lifting for inspiration. The I-Pad really came through this time. I was upset they cut off the feed for a while.

I would think they have that option, but you can also weigh in 24 hours before.
Must be between squat and bench now cause they keep showing his awesome squat.

That would have to be the only way he could put that much weight back on. I lift with NASA and USAPL, and NASA has night before option, USAPL only has morning of. It is so much easier to make weight on the night before without hurting your strength.
I’ve done a couple NASA meets and cut weight both times. I didn’t do anything too drastic, but not sure I’ll bother to cut again. Its not exactly enjoyable having to stuff yourself for the rest of the evening and then sleep like shit…
Got some fellow Tnation people representing!
Deta hit a 682 squat.
@198 I believe
Nguyen’s deadlift was amazing to see in replay. Really looked like he could’ve put on another few pounds there. I love watching lighter lifters, it’s unbelievable what kind of relative strength they have.
Anyone have a link for the final results?
