Wow! When do they shut things down up there? I know some resorts here are open into early June. Totally different climate at that elevation.

That’s a lot of reps. You’re clearly getting some cardio in, as you lift.

Waterskiing.

3’s night, Squats, TM 380

Squats: 45 x10, 135 x5, 225 x5, 275 x3, 315 x3, 340 x5.

Front Squats (EMOM): 205 x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (39 total reps)

Notes: EMOMs were tough tonight.

solid work jack. sorry to hear about your truck. I hope they catch the little bastards.

Fug… the truck thing blows…EMOM fronts are nasty! and 39 to boot…

Thanks folks. The truck’s covered, but it still sucks. And dealing with insurance is a PITA.

3’s day, press, TM 165.

Press: 45 x20, 95 x5, 115 x3, 135 x3, 150 x7.

Press (EMOM): 115 x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (39 total reps).

Pullups: 10, 8, 7, 6, 6, 5, 5, 5, 4. (56 total)

Dips: +50 x 8, 8, 8.

Notes: My quads really got rocked from front squats last night. They were going into spasm and cramping last night and it kept me up most of the night. That’s never happened before. It was really strange.

3’s day, deads, TM 450.

Deads: 45 x10, 135 x10, 225 x5, 275 x3, 325 x3, 375 x3, 405 x7.

Deads (EMOM): 305 x3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (42 total reps).

Zerchers (from low pins): 135 x5, 225 x3, 315 x1, 335 x1, 355 x miss.

Notes: Today was the first day in a while that I have felt comfortable pulling. The money set was within a pound of 2x body weight. The dog ate my chalk, so I had some grip issues on the money set; I might have had one or two more in me. All in all a pretty good day.

Nice pulling, hope the chalk wasn’t too hard on the pup.

1’s Day, Bench, TM270.

Bench: 45 x20, 135 x5, 185 x5, 205 x5, 225 x3, 255 x3.

Bench (EMOM): 225 x 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 (30 total reps).

Cable Rows: 160 x 30, 180 x20, 200 x13, 220 x5.

Incline Bench: 135 x10, 185 x5, 205 x3, 185 x5, 135 x10.

Notes: Did this; will probably ski tomorrow.

Massive EMOM work. That’s a nice upper body day. Happy ski.

Just so you know . . . we had a foot of snow here on Mothers’ Day. So assuming you were snow skiing was not totally asinine on my part:)

A foot? Wow. We’ve had multiple days in the 70s and 80s here this May, which is really abnormal, but there have been snow seasons where there is snow skiing going into summer in the past.

1’s night, squats, TM 380.

Squats: 45 x10, 135 x5, 225 x5, 275 x5, 315 x3, 365 x4.

Front Squats (EMOM): 225 x 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 (30 total reps).

Notes: I got some skiing in this week and did this tonight. BW is holding around 205. I’d light to cut some more weight but I’m just not that motivated to do what it takes.

1’s day, Press, TM 165.

Press: 45 x20, 95 x5, 115 x5, 135 x3, 155 x5.

Press (EMOM): 140 x 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2. (30 total reps).

Pullups: 10, 7, 5, 5, 5.

Dips: +30 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10.

DB OHP (run the rack no rest: 60s x 5, 50s x5, 45s x5, 40s x5, 35s x5, 30s x5, 25s x5.

Notes: Did this. We are going camping for a week in a few days so I hope to dead lift once before going.

Seems like we have some similar ideas this week.

I’m headed to northern Wisconsin on Saturday to meet up with some of my Midwestern kin for a fishing/drinking/camping expedition. It is a nice little spot with some really good trout streams. Everyone brings a bottle of high-quality bourbon and we eat a lot of meat on the fire. Good times.

I’m not sure if I will be lazy all week or actually try some improvised lifting around camp. I haven’t seen these relatives since before I started lifting, so it is entirely possible that I will be cajoled into some ill-advised feats of drunken strength around camp.

Where are you headed? There must be a lot of great spots out your way.

A little set of lakes tucked away under Banks Lake, WA, near the Grand Coulee Dam. My parents/family have been going there for memorial weekend since the early 60s. Its usually about 12-15 families in our group with lots of kids and waterskiing skiing, fishing, and general horsing around. I’m spending my day today craigslisting for some high-end RC cars as a surprise and to cause a little trouble. Good times.

Deadlift: TM 450.

Deads: 45 x20, 135 x5, 225 x5, 275 x5, 325 x5, 375 x3, 430 x5.,

Zerchers: 135 x5, 225 x1, 315 x1, 365 x miss.

Notes: Did this and left; packing up the rig now and then heading East.

That’s a lot of higher rep pulling sets, nice work. Enjoy the trip sounds like a lot of fun.
