not only that, but not cooking them until they are totally hard is very dangerous and may kill a child.

I really don’t care what you do! Hell it would be fun to watch you shoot yourself. However, do not ever think you can disrespect me and I’ll be like a fucking pussy and do nothing. All I was saying is if someone wants to call me shit just come and say it to my face don’t hind behind a computer screen! Be a man an back up you words. To me people that eat raw eggs are just to lazy to cook them.Myself I hard boil them an take them to work and snack on them.

This goes to all T-Nation it is okay to disagree with someone but name calling just because you do not like what they say is not only childish but you may one day have to back it up.I show respect to all and I expect the same in return![/quote]

eating raw eggs is probably heatlthier than getting as worked up as you are in front of the computer, a heart attack is probably more likely than salmonella. just step away and take a breath. i come on this site for advice and info, not read angry rants.

MaddyD even though you are not man enough to back your words up I’m going to do you a favor. I have something that has more protein then eggs and I’ll send you some next time I jerk off I been told it taste better then raw eggs let me know! I know you watch moves were you seen these big bad ass duds eating raw eggs. So you think if you eat them you can get big to. This will trust me help you get bigger faster and its not like you have never eating it before.

my son is on it and he is all I care about when it comes to reading bad advice.People watch moves like rocky and they think man I eat raw eggs I can be big too and maybe one day when I grow a nut sack I can kick butt like them. It doesn’t work I use maddyd as an example he eats lots of raw eggs and he still doesn’t have a nut sack. Again I ask what are the benefits from eating raw eggs that you can not get out of a hard boiled egg? none is the answer you just seen people in the movies do it and think you can be a bad ass if you do it too!

obviously if your “son” is that influenced by movies and printed text then you are not doing your job.

which does not surprise me because you have historically shown you know nothing about what you speak of.

do you always just talk because you enjoy hearing yourself?

Did you read the first post? Cooked eggs give me the runs, and make me feel asthmatic, raw eggs do not…

Haven’t you read any post after? Raw eggs can give you a lot more problems then the runs! If you can not eat cook eggs there are a lot better whys to get protein then eating raw eggs and there is no risk. There isn’t a doctor in this country that will tell you its good to eat a raw egg.Nor will you see it in any muscle mag. Nor any health professional.

All these people and more will Tell you as I have tried to that eating raw eggs are bad for you. Only mental midgets will tell you other wise. There are so many other ways to get natural protein that are good and do not have any bad risk. Its like eating fat grease food the first time doesn’t kill you but sooner or later you put yourself under the gun you are going to find that bullet!

The people that have died would you tell their families that it was a small risk. Again 1,400,000 get sick annually and 500 die. Would you tell their mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers that it was a small risk worth taken.I do not make this figure up go to center for disease control and you will find out for yourself.

What I have told you is back up with fact and he hasn’t given you one but he says I do not know what I talk about. so he must be smarter then all the doctors and health professional who say don’t eat raw eggs and all those that have written in health journals. So who are you going to believe the medical professionals or the mental midgets? Don’t take my word ask you doctor for his advise.Best of luck in all that you do

Back in the 50’s people drank blood because they thought it would help them build better muscles. Eating raw eggs is just as stupid!

Statistically, your son has a much greater chance of being involved in a fatal car accident than fatally contracting salmonella by ingesting an undercooked egg. Yet I bet you don’t even think twice when he gets in the passenger seat, and you sure as hell don’t go on the DOT website and start bitching and moaning about how automobiles might possibly kill your son. In conclusion, please shut the fuck up and learn to pick your battles.

When you eat cooked eggs, do you experience symptoms with just the whites, yolks or you don’t know because you always eat them whole?

What about items that contain eggs, such as cakes, cookies etc… Can you eat lemon meringue pie?

I ask because each part of the egg has different proteins that you could be reacting to and each protein is denatured differently (some are sensitive to heat, some to pH etc…).
This might shed some light on why you can tolerate raw eggs over cooked. For example, ovalbumin, which is very common in the whites, is a major allergen but has been shown to be non-allergenic when denatured.

What a fucking mental midget! I give you facts about eating eggs and that is all you can come up with! So what you are saying is a person can put a blind fold on and walk across the street and because he made it across it is safe to to do?
I’m never said eating eggs was as risking as riding in a car dumb ass but would you ride on the hood because it gave you a better view! maybe you should think about what you say before you say it. It would help you to stop thinking about those young naked boys. I think your thought process would be better!

when we talk about statistic’s I will come to you for advise since you like to bring unrelated stats up.Until then I choose my battles thank you very much and this one I so choose. You are just pissed because you think its okay to eat raw eggs and you are going to and that’s fine don’t care! I’m going to keep pointing out with facts mind you what a mental midget you and people like you are! Again, I say the only reason you do eat raw eggs is because you seen it in the movies and you think if you do so you to can be a bad ass to!

Damn what’s up with eating the shell? I read in a raw feeding pet site, that whole raw egg + shell has a perfect balance of calcium & phosphorus. I wonder if humans can benefit from the shell?

As far as I know…YES but you be the judge, grant it this is only one study and only an abstract at that.

Int J Clin Pharmacol Res. 2003;23(2-3):83-92.
Eggshell calcium in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.
Rovenský J, Stancíková M, Masaryk P, Svík K, Istok R.
National Institute of Rheumatic Diseases, Piestany, Slovak Republic. rovensky@nurch.sk

In this paper the most significant biological and clinical aspects of a biopreparation made of chicken eggshells are reviewed. Eggshell powder is a natural source of calcium and other elements (e.g. strontium and fluorine) which may have a positive effect on bone metabolism. Experimental and clinical studies performed to date have shown a number of positive properties of eggshell powder, such as antirachitic effects in rats and humans. A positive effect was observed on bone density in animal models of postmenopausal osteoporosis in ovariectomized female rats. In vitro eggshell powder stimulates chondrocyte differentiation and cartilage growth. Clinical studies in postmenopausal women and women with senile osteoporosis showed that eggshell powder reduces pain and osteoresorption and increases mobility and bone density or arrests its loss. The bioavailability of calcium from this source, as tested in piglets, was similar or better than that of food grade purified calcium carbonate. Clinical and experimental studies showed that eggshell powder has positive effects on bone and cartilage and that it is suitable in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.

I’m sure DOCTOR Mercola thinks otherwise. http://www.mercola.com/

Listen, I opened up a topic asking why cooked eggs caused allergies and raw didn’t. I didn’t ask whether raw eggs were safe. I could have learned what the government and mainstream scientific community thinks about raw eggs in an elementary school health class.

Thank you for those who answered with specific proteins and such, that is really interesting. It appears as if cooking the egg whites and mixing the yolks with my protein shakes might be the best option. Or cooking em over easy.

I have no idea the answer to your question, but maybe the answer is that you should give cycling your protein sources a try (as recomended by Poliquin).

I am glad that you found your answers amongst all of the ummm…controversy on this thread. I will look into what Mercola had to say, for my own edification. FWIW, Mercola is not very respected in the mainstream medical community…I am not particularly mainstream myself BTW. But, if you have a sensitivity to one of the yolk proteins, when denatured, then this makes sense. Good luck to you OP. Keep us posted.
