30.08.2024 (6pm evening session)
BJJ 1hr, training (beginner levels class).
-Coach ran essentially a repeat session from this morning. FINALLY got to an evening beginner class, this was GREAT. Rolled with J again, 2x taps again, but my game is improving steadily. More knee pressure is working a treat.
-More rolls vs similar sized guys thereafter. Held my own comfortably against some bigger guys, dominated one of the younger guys I hadn’t seen in ages. We do enjoy to roll together. And helped/taught a few moves to a brand new kid on some basics. Hit a number of submissions across opponents too - kimura, leg and arm triangles, ankle lock. Was REALLY nice to be the one on offense finally! Slept terribly after being an evening session but so be it.

-passing guard into mount, leg/hip rotation techniques.
-4x rolls thereafter. Solid vs J, he still got me a couple of times. Then held my own nicely vs N and Liv, but no submissions. Did get to back with Liv on roll #4 at the end, alas time ran out. Plenty of counter moves from us all escaping each others mounts/guards.

-3x specific rolls, side control, mount, back escapes.
-single roll with J after. Held things well, only copped 1 submission and hit some counters.

BJJ 1hr, training (beginners class).
-repeat on passing into mount from the legs
-specific training rolls 3mins, shark tank rolls too on side control, guard and back. Then 2x rolls after - split my lip accidentally. Nailed an ankle lock, then copped similar later on against a different opponent. Nothing like a little taste of blood during rolling to get the juices flowing.
-picked this up yesterday, new work ute (novated lease), Wildtrak Ford Ranger. She’s a beauty @QuadQueen

Thanks all! Nice perk of the new job, novated lease so I pay a portion of it, but it’s a great deal and nice new technology in there. Junior’s pretty happy with the ride height, plenty to see up high in the kid seat in the back. And it’s dirty already, with a few drives out and about over the weekend.

Nice looking new ride!
