I intend to use this diet whether bulking or cutting. When bulking I’ll eat larger portions of it, when cutting I’ll eat less of it.

But I also intend to eat this diet every day of every year with no changes to the food choices whatsoever. This allows me to buy in bulk, cook in bulk, and generally saves money and effort. Because of this - the diet needs to be absolutely balanced in terms of macronutrients, but also vitamins and minerals. Are there any vitamins and minerals deficient in the diet posted above?

If I consumed this diet basically every day for the rest of my life and only changed the portion sizes (not the food choices itself) when bulking and cutting , would I be healthy?

A couple of things -

Most people who think about “healthfulness” of diet tend to emphasize the need for variety. This diet is not incredibly varied - for instance, it looks like most of your carbohydrates come in the form of sugar from skim milk and OJ - not that either of those things are inherently bad, they just don’t seem like cornerstones to a healthful diet to me.

I like the inclusion of cod liver oil, walnuts, turmeric and dark chocolate - but you should think about other nutrient rich foods such as sweet potatoes (and white potatoes) to alternate with your oats and rice, or fattier meats like chicken thighs, ground beef, wild salmon etc. All of these can be purchased in bulk just as easily as the stuff you’ve listed.

As far as quantities - it’s impossible to say without knowing your stats, workouts etc.

The bottom line is, the only way to know whether or not this diet works is to try it and pay attention to how you look and feel. It certainly beats a fast food diet, but to my mind it could use more variety, more protein, less sugar and more over all calories.

I give it four broccoli stocks outta five.

Would you do the exact same workout every day of every year? Variety is good, even if its a set menu. Also portions sizes make or break the diet so without that its hard to say whether it’ll work.

Most people manipulate their macro ratios to suit their goals. I can’t tell by your post if you’re planning on doing that based on your goals at any given point. ‘Whey shake’ is also very generic. Are you saying it’s strictly whey protein, or does it have other things in it? Most do.

If you’re asking if you can survive on this diet, the answer is of course.
