Glad I could bring some quality to the forums, I’ll do my best to bring more of the same here soon!

The kind words and support from everyone are honestly helping to keep me focused.

Thanks! Good legs are hard to find and they separate the men from the boys on a stage!

You look awesome

what’s your diet like?

Damn, very inspiring. Especially the quad seperation. I can’t wait for my tear drops hahah.

What else needs to be said? Fantastic physique man. One of the top 3 on T-Nation ever that I have seen. I might have to kick up my leg training after seeing those quads and reading your workout.

Awesome work man, simply awesome.

What is even better is that you have the same high insertion point on your lats that I do. I always thought it to be a physique killer, but you make it work. That is motivational for me and I will take my lat dorsi training up a notch as a result.

Thanks.[/quote]

Who the hell are you?

looking amazing travis. Good luck at the north american.

U still workin with tricky jackson?

Holy crap dude. Looking simply amazing! Honestly I find your avatar pic just as inspiring as your contest ones, if not more-so. Your quads look like they were ripped off an anatomy chart

I posted this in a pm to someone so here’s it is again:

here’s the short version:

gradually decrease carb intake as you get closer to show, the amount of carbs you do get to eat depends on your condition. as you lower carbs towards the end you increase proteins and fats accorddingly.

eat seven to eight times a day if possible. when you are eating carbs make them good ones oats, broccoli, potatoes or sweet potatoes, green beans, grapefruit, fibrous carbs from nuts and nut butters, whatever trace amount comes from your protein powder.

The less sugar the better. my fats come from nuts, nut butters, EV olive oil, trace amount from lean chicken, eggs, occasional lean beef but not as you get close to show time except maybe for cheat meal. my favorite protein sources are egg whites, chicken, whey powder, tilapia, flounder, tuna, and lean beef when not in diet mode.

I like to do an hour or more of cardio, usually starting 8-10 weeks out from a show, again depending on starting condition.

lastly, carbs get really low towards the end, might eat 50 grams a day, with a carb day every 5th or 6th day. This is carb depletion / cycling, I think I’ve seen info on this elsewhere on this site if you want to read about it in detail.

again, that’s the 30 second version, but honestly, there’s nothing earth shattering about the diet.

low carbs + good fats + high protein + hard work = good physique

Keep busting ass. My legs are one of the last things to come in for me, I hold a lot of water there. Good legs take time, no way around it unless you’re genetically blessed.

Not take any wind out of my own sails, but my quads don’t always look like that, I have to cut my water to get the cuts deep in there. By all means kick up your leg training. Every body loves chest day but real men look forward to leg day

Thanks for the kind words! Genetically I have a wide back but I’ve had people tell me before that I need more back thickness, I tend to agree. My lats look good from the front and back but they do need more density. More rowing and fewer pulldowns. If you’re like me, emphasize your lower lats as much as possible, the upper parts will be fine.

Tricky and I are great friends and he’s always there to give me diet advice when I need it. I see him everyday and we train at the same gym, but we don’t actually train together right now because of different schedules. I do miss training with him, he’s a hell of a partner.

Watch for me at the North Americans, I’m hoping to put on a show!

God bless that picture. That was in my mom’s kitchen and I had no idea the lighting was so favorable in there! I’m taking my progress pics in her kitchen from now on!

Regardless buddy…that’s an A+ physique whether lit by a flashlight or in a Hollywood studio
