Rate My Diet

I am currently 200 lbs, 14% bf. I gain weight around my belly easy but I also get big easy when I eat right. But being winter and all I decided to say fuck it and do it right. This is my first real diet I mapped out and just wanted to know what you guys think and what I should be adding or subtracting. I am currently doing hundreds training for the remainder of this week. Starting next week I will be switching my workout to 8-12 reps/ 4-5 sets per exercise to maximize hypertrophy. I do not take any supplements, just a protein powder. This is what I came up with so far…

Breakfast 6-7 am

  • 4 eggs over light
  • 2 pieces of rye bread
  • 1 glass of apple juice

Mid morning 9-10 am

  • pure protein bar or detour bar
  • water
  • 1 banana

Lunch 12-1 pm

  • Chicken Cesar salad w/ dressing
  • iced tea
  • Piece of fruit

Or

  • 2 scoops of protein shake
  • 1 piece of fruit

Mid afternoon 3-4 pm

  • Piece of fruit
  • Nuts, or pp&j
  • Milk 16+ ounces

Dinner 6-8 pm

  • Usually chicken/salmon/or steak
  • Vegetables
  • Milk

Night 9-10 pm

  • Protein powder, 2 scoops, w/ water

More veggies for sure. I assume you are looking to put on some mass? Double what you got there. Also, what’s your water intake like?

Yeah I usually drink about a gallon of water a day, started this about a week ago

Why all the calorie containing drinks? Personally if I’m looking for more calories I’d rather be eating more food. And your total calories don’t look that high that you’d be stuffing yourself. Apple Juice is worthless if you ask me. Your better off eating an apple. I’d drop the Iced Tea also.

Mike Roussel wrote an easy to understand article a few weeks ago. Look in the archives for it. You’ll get good ideas on better food choices.

k thx
