U know what, sugar alcohols are one of the worst inventions man has made for humanity since the atomic bomb. I’m going to start a petition saying that everything containing sugar alcohols must have this disclaimer:
“Warning: Ingredients may cause you to run to the bathroom every five minutes for the next five hours.”
They might as well rename them, “shit now and forever” alcohols.
Anyway, there was my rant. And heres the actual question.
Why haven’t protein bar companies started using splenda, stevia, or a mix if the two as a sweetener instead of the horrid sugar alcohols?

They already do have a warning on them. But yeah I hate loose stools.

Due to the fact sugar alcohols ac like sugar they have bulk and moisture like sugar and can be used in baking they have the same attributes. They are a levener in baking where as stevia and splenda are not.
But yes I agree sugar alcohols suck for the most part and dont buy the no/low impact on Blood sugar. Ive seen just one litte piece of sugar free chocolate spike the hell out of Blood sugar on a test gieven in the hospital to my mother
