Rank Me

Anyone else think about this? Howard Stern’s first album, back in 1982 when he was at DC101 in Washington D.C. I grew up listening to him back then. “Ranking” was basically insulting people using mama jokes and “you’re so ugly…” and the like. Howard used to have “Ranking contests” and callers would try to beat him. He never lost.

If you were in junior high school in the D.C. area back in the early 80’s, ranking was one of life’s great pleasures.

Oh yeah. I remember. I was in Fairfax at that time (7th-8th grade), waking up to Beaver Cleavage and the rankouts. Followed up by the Greaseman, waddleoodleoddum and hobbledegaga.

To the OP, nice work and real nice #s. A word of caution: you seem to have some real shoulder killers in there (BB incline press and incline DB curls). You’re young now, so it’s likely not a problem for you, but looking into my crystal ball, I see some potential shoulder issues down the road if you keep working those lifts as hard as you do.

I was at Stephen Foster Intermediate near Ft. Hunt H.S. Howard was king. Greaseman was awesome also. I actually had the “50 Ways to Rank your Mother” album.

Solid bro. 9.

It would have been an 8, but I gave you a bonus point for representing the Sooner State!!!

Keep up the good work.

WOW thanks for posting…its a lot of volume your recovery must be insane…[/quote]

Yeah no kidding. I’d never recommend a split like this for somebody I knew, but if it works it works man. This just further confirms my thoughts that this overtraining scare is, for the most part, a bunch of crap. I mean, sure you can do it, but it takes a lot of effort to do it, you know? Of course, if you’re in the lowest quartile of recovery ability or a high CNS drain, you might need to worry, but a lot of normal people should probably just eat more.

On the diet–I see you could probably fit another veggie serving or two in your tupperware containers. Also, maybe grab an easy transportable fruit like an apple/orange for the morning. Whatever works for you though.

Good work.

Why aren’t you practicing for the NFL or something with those stats? Are you not very fast?

Being a beast in the weight room does not necessarily translate to being a beast on the field or court.

To OP,

NICE!

Your volume IS insane.

The only advice I would have especially with the volume and weight you are throwing around, make sure you take care of your soft tissue to ensure longevity in the iron game.

I am pretty quick. I’m in law school, NFL isn’t exactly something that i get to think about… Training is something done on the side and for fun. I love to lift, and work hard.

But thanks for the strong words, thinking i should try for the NFL is a huge comp… THANKS!

And as for soft tissue, ligs and connective tissues, i take lots of vits and do some stretching after working out. Trying to be healthy. But Nothing hurts or feels strained so i keep on going. Soon as i can find a training partner, i expect new and greater numbers and gains!

Thanks again.
