Rahm Emanuel Leaving the WH?

Is another rat jumping from the sinking ship?

I believe he will - and he should.

He’s done all he can do in the position, and he needs to unhitch his wagon from Obama if he has higher ambitions (and I think everyone agrees, he does).

With the Woodward book coming out, I’d suspect Emanuel will be looking for the door sooner rather than later now.

he’s currently exploring a bid for mayor of Chicago. Daley has said that he’s not running for reelection.

I’ve talked to the guy in person over the phone when he was my district congressman, he’s a nice guy and I liked him. His dad used to be my pediatrician, and let me tell you that family is a hard working group of people.

Regardless, I probably won’t agree with a lot of this stuff he does (if he goes for/gets elected mayor), but I think he has the energy this city needs. It’s obvious a Republican won’t get voted as mayor, so it’s probably either him vs. Jesse Jackson Jr. We’ll see who runs. I’m not sure I’ll vote, we’ll see later down the road.

I would love to live in a city where the brother of ari( gold ) emanuell is mayor :stuck_out_tongue:

I think it’s a good time to get some new blood in the mayor’s office, and I’m sure we could do worse than Rahm. Daley’s done all he could do and he will always be associated with his dad and failing to get the Olympics. It would be interesting to see what Rahm would do to the city, too bad I’m not there anymore. :frowning:

**If Rahm could get a casino into the city proper, I would move back in a heartbeat…

If Rahm can’t get a pardon for Blago from Obama, Rahm will be in the next cell, learning the meaning of the prison slang ‘Pony Ride’.
