And as Hamas we will steal that food, mark it up to starving civillians who can’t get food because we steal it and then spend that money on rockets while keeping civillians trapped in their homes at gunpoint when they’re warned to evacuate by the IDF and when we will be opening fire from schools, mosques, hospitals etc in desperate hope the IDF strikes down civillians who are martyrs from the cause!
They actually found a document on Sinwars (may be rest in hell) laptop that adknowledged the civillians death toll and it essentially said “good… The more dead civillians the more we win the PR war. Keep at it, dead civillians are good for us”
I was giddy with joy when I saw the butcher of Khan Younis was killed
People don’t know… But Sinwar spent decades in Israeli prison for murdering ten PALESTINIAN civillians
Yet Hamas support is around 80% in West Bank and 50-60% Im Gaza (lower due to the war). It’s a brutal tribalistic culture, and they’ve chosen death/war time and time again
Palestinians as we know today NEVER independently governed Palestine nor was the land ever signed off to be theirs… Jews set foot in Israel well before Palestinians did. Palestine was officially founded in 1988, but offered statehood in 48 that they refused, offered many times since then… Most recently Donald Trump drafted a two state solution that I believe Israel agreed to and Palestine refused again.
And before Jews pre nomadic subtypes lived in Israel. I don’t care about WHERE the Jews have it… But we need a Jewish state… When I say that I don’t mean some retarded ethnostate based on Jewish supremacy as that isn’t what Israel is today. Just a state where lots of Jews live that have an IDF/equivalent where we can all go in diaspora if necessary
Contrary to popular knowledge Israel is one of the most culturally diverse places on the planet… It’s not some Jewish apartheid state. Average expenditure on a Muslim students (Israel is 23% Muslim) is identical to that of a Jewish student AND they get affirmative action and whatnot
Israel’s landmass has shrunk significantly since the 1970s when it took the Sinai etc… its given up the Sinai desert, parts of golan Heights and Gaza… Shrinking significantly in the process.
Muslims couldn’t stand only having 52 Muslim countries dammit!
You could spend all day pointing out the differences, but this isn’t a bad way to boil it all down. The ability to field a sophisticated modern combined arms military, especially a nuclear weapon arsenal, reflects a level of organization and capability that renders typical questions of “legitimacy” completely irrelevant. North Korea, for instance, organizes the efforts of its entire population to just barely meet that legitimacy hurdle, while keeping them under the boot of socialism. The continued existence of N. Korea as a socialist/communist slave society demonstrates this point.
The PLO and people of Gaza are actually perfect for this thread, as they absolutely love their radical policies. They are perhaps more radical than nearly any other population that’s exercised self-determination through political elections.
Imagine if our 2001 war hawks concocted a policy of strapping babies to our tanks, so we might feign horror and attempt to garner international sympathy and money when the babies are blown to bits by an RPG when we roll that tank into a war zone and start firing the cannon at our enemies with a baby strapped to the turret.
That’s a radical policy if there ever was one.
Since your kid is becoming interested in politics, ask him to explain why North and South Korea are so different today. Mine is almost 24 and I always try to get him to think about why he has the opinions he does.
No offense intended, but if your kid is a communist, the only thing he gets is his religious indoctrination in a faith-based system of governance that is completely unsupported by over a century of accumulated evidence. I’m sure he’s a nice enough young man and all, but so were a lot of members of Hitler Youth and The Red Guard.
They don’t seem so nice when they gain enough power to come for your livelihood, your home, your children, your culture and the way of life as you have known it. Many senior citizens in my town are learning about exactly how compassionate our DSA-inspired policies are now that they are being forced to sell their modest homes or take out a reverse mortgage to continue to live there as the state extracts any inheritance they might have left to their heirs.
Whether he realizes it or not, he just wants to burn it all down to replace it with nonsensical ideobabble that leads to the exact same place it always leads. Poverty, misery and death.
Got it, dumb kid is different than committed ideologue and activist. My kid is still quite dumb politically, he just happens to be making the right call for our town, our state and our country in 2024. He’s right by accident, in other words.
Politics for my kid, and I suspect most people, really just boils down to social tribalism. It has next to nothing to do with actual policy or contemplation of long term policy consequences.
A simple look around is enough for most to determine who “their people” are.
So do many Swedes. They ran the same basic experiment we did in Lewiston, Maine and it is hard to frame any of it as a win for Swedes. DEI comes with many long term consequences and a built-in reflex of attacking the character of anyone who raises concerns about them.
That nasty reflex is, as my crystal saleswoman might say, bad mojo.
The average Swede in America still tends to out earn the average Swede in Sweden, as is the case for many nationalities.
Most bright kids lean socialist at that age. I certainly did, although I only really had test scores as evidence that I was bright.
Wow… Possibly within a month or two of when I was born depending on month he is born in. I turn 24 very soon
Israel actually experimented with socialism too… It failed, but was founded as socialist. Socialism outside of small tightly knit communities (think kibbutz) fails… Kibbutz is self sustainable therefore in theory the purest form of kibbutz you don’t necessarily need income.
I hate the idea in any shape or form. If I’m a neurosurgeon working 16 hour shifts why should I have the same sized house, same car and wage as a hedonist who works a dead end job at a fast food outlets etc?
The UN consists of MANY Muslim countries who are Hamas sympathisers/pro Hamas
UN praises UNWRA, wherein 15% of members are Hamas (or more). The UN is a joke.
At least nine UN employees were directly involved in Oct 7, that shattered any semblance of credibility for me
Took them six months just to adknowledge Hamas commited rape, and when many employees were approached and confronted with footage they refused to watch the footage and kept saying “we just don’t know” in the face of piles of evidence including testimony from members of Hamas.
UN keeps trying to make it harder and harder for Israel to fight Hamas. I remember when everyone was saying Israel MUST not enter Rafah only now Sinwar was killed in Rafa, hostages were in Rafa…
The problem is Islam. Many are afraid to say it out loud, for various as well as legitimate reasons, but when you see that it is the one thing in common these oppressive (by our standards) countries which have little regard for civil rights, human rights and freedom have, you need to put two and two together. Anywhere Muslims become a majority, whether it’s on a national, local or neighborhood level, things turn to shit. Wherever they go, rape goes up. It’s a religion based on the societal and moral standards of Arabs. A desert people who built nothing. Created nothing. It is not compatible with a modern society that was founded on Greco-Roman culture. The Greeks and Romans were educated, cosmopolitan people. The Persians were as well but look at Iran today.
This is historical fact: Mohammad killed people, including children. He married a child. He owned slaves, including sex slaves. He believed that non Muslims should be treated as second class citizens under Muslim rule. Now, one can talk about historical context and draw comparisons to Europeans at that time. The difference is we don’t believe we should revert back to those days. We can say we understand why Christians in the past did things we consider wrong today but also not hold them up as exemplars for us to follow. Muslims cannot do this. If Mohammad did it then it was right period. It was and will be right forever. He is considered the perfect man so nothing he did can be judged by us. He is the model Muslims try and emulate.
In short, Islam stands in the way of peace between Israel and its Arab and Arabized neighbors.
