The WW E is debuting a new tag team called Cryme Tyme, about 2 black thugs carrying out stereotypical criminal behavior. They rob a smoothie shop and smile for the camera, mug a white guy who takes a wrong turn coming out of banana Republic and is looking for Starbucks, they carjack someone, rob them at an ATM, etc.
WW E claims that its done with a wink and a nudge, and that its playing on modern videogame culture, specifically the GTA series and the new Saints game.
They dress just like characters in the Saints, the big guy wears a wife beater, the smaller guy wears super baggy clothing, a sideways hat, and a lot of bling.
They are being cheered big-time by crowds and they debut on TV soon.
You can check out their vides on ww e.com, I can’t link to them since I’m at work.
Don’t know if it’s racist, but definately stupid. I quit watching wrestling entirely when the men started beating up women. WWE panders to the lowest common denominator. Shit like this and the explosion of video game violence, yet we wonder in amazement why some kids are so violent, un-moral, and simply uncaring and cruel.
Parents going to a WWE event and cheering this crap along side their children is almost criminal.
That which you tolerate, your children will embrace.
If they were white, would you say the same thing? Hispanic? Asian? Generally those that have their thoughts go to racism are the racist ones themselves. I don’t see the world in terms of race, so it’s hard for me to pick up on “racism” unless it’s legitimate.
WWE and and professional wrestling in general doesn’t take itself seriously and is more of a pun and mimic on popular culture and society, if you see it for what it is, it is actually pretty funny.

I find that highly racist and offensive. As a white man, I do not frequent Banana Republic, or Starbucks.
LOL!
Here is the video in case anyone wanted a good laugh.

Is that funny to anyone?

That was not funny. Those two young men should be arrested. What’s this world coming to that people can rob smoothie stores, assault the employee and post a video of it on the internet?
Where are the police when you need them?

When i was at raw a couple weeks back (free front row floor seats) they showed this clip and me and buddies didnt find it funny at all, it was probably because we were surrounded by a bunch of drunk rednecks whos idea of blacks is what this video showed. but now that i watched again its actually pretty funny.
p.s.(pre-teen moment) maria is freakin hot in life, and she pointed at me and winked and blew a kiss.
