Race to Bodyweight Press

I did 205 at 270 bw, so I have a way to go but hopefully as I get my weight under control I’ll get there. Good luck to everyone.

I’m in, I hit a single at 165# on joker sets 2 weeks ago, at a BW of 195#. We’ll see where my joker 3’s go up to this coming Monday… My previous best was 170# at 185# BW last year before I separated my left pectoral, and I think I can beat that right now.

Anybody want to extend the race to 1.5x bodyweight? Bodyweight press doesn’t seem like a big challenge! Me and the 3 people I have trained all hit bodyweight within a year of training. I hit bodyweight for 5 reps within my first year of starting strength.

(My current bests are 90kg/200lb x 8 and 105kg/230lb x 1 at 75kg bodyweight.)

I’m in! Also targeting a 2.5x bodyweight bench.

Maybe I’ll jump on that bandwagon after I hit 1x bodyweight! One goal at a time, but it’d be cool to hit a 1.5x bodyweight press at 50 years old.

I hope to hit a bodyweight OHP by the end of the year. I hit 155x2 recently at 175 lbs.

Press. 185

70kg OHP with 80kg BW, trying to get to BW OHP at the end of the year

75kg press at a bodyweight of 87-89kg

Anyone who makes it to the goal should post their workout template, so that everyone else can learn from them to reach our goals. I will be trying to reach this goal as well. Current max is 175 at a bodyweight of 200.

No way am I in, bodyweight 275, last press 132x6 ha ha ha

Congrats, BW OHP is always impressive. But work on getting that ribcage down while doing it, you’ll feel much more stable and be able to press more

Getting closer, hit 175# on joker sets of singles Monday, at 195# BW. Not sure what I could do if I was going for a true 1RM, but I’m going to try to hit BW on a joker set I think.

Hit 185# like 3 weeks ago, still got a ways to go at 6’5 235.

It’s my first time here…

In. Current Press 3 X 120 lbs @ 170 BW

In. Press is 85kg at the moment at BW of 94.

135 for 2 at 150lbs. But this was after a 12 hour shift with an hour drive each way. I’ll be back on 531 week in 3 weeks and I’ll be fresher and going for more weight.

Another benchmark on the road - 3x160# on joker sets this Monday, and 195# bw.
