Thanks! This was my first powerlifting meet, I agree it seemed to be very well run.

Hit 400 lbs today! It was one of the toughest longest squats i’ve ever done lol

Hit 405x1 and then bumped it up and crushed 425. I’ll see what I can do with posting a video.

I’m hopping on this train. Gonna start training my squat again after a long layoff due to a chronic injury, starting next week. Tested today at a 315/143kg max.

How often are you going to train the squat? Any fear or reinjury?

Did you change your movement patterns (which often result in chronic injuries)?

Finally hit them 4 plates! I was being a little bitch but grew some balls and said fuck it, knew i had it on my way down! Maybe a slight bit high but I have a couple weeks to get that down, may 17th is my next competition.

I had bilateral quadriceps tendonosis. It seems to have spontaneously resolved itself about 6 weeks ago. I’ve squatted 1x a week (and done snatches and cleans 2-3x a week) since. Right now I will be front squatting once and back squatting once a week, hopefully will up that to 3x after May 17th.

Yeah, little fear of reinjury. I keep waiting for my knees to scream at me randomly and know “well, its back.” But it keeps not happening, so I’m just taking it slowly and hoping for the best. I’ve already hit a FS PR of 127kg (previous best was 120.5)

Got 335 for 3 last week it’s moving nicely using 531.

I’m in im 15 years old and Ive been lifting for a year. My squat right now is at 330 for 1rm (parallel) Ill try for 405 by the end of this year. I weigh 170.

Now that it is Australian Rules Football season for me I have decided to do static holds for bench, squat, and rack pulls once a week, one high volume workout, two practices a week, and some occasional running/conditioning work. Last week I did a squat lockout with 505 just getting used to that type of weight. It felt pretty good. I am going after a 500 pound box squat. Currently 5`9 about 220.

Hit 147.5kg on Saturday.

In for competition, currently at 225, should get to 405 next month… NOT

Hope to get 315 quickly, I’ll see you guys for 405 in a while.

Grinding 170 kg/375 squat at my first meet yesterday. Just turned 18, 103 kg bodyweight.
