I’m in the military, and it seems to be the “kewl” thing to give every unit some cheesy, cliche Latin empowerment quote. A new unit formed, and I chipped this in:
Aio, quantitas magna fromentorum est!
My, that’s a lot of corn!
I told the Commander it roughly translated to “Onward to victory!”

I was looking for the quote of when the black guy eats the maggots out of Russel Crow, but I couldn’t find it.
Whoah! Uh,… maybe I ‘read’ the scene wrong, but I thought he was PUTTING the maggots there to clean Maximus’s injuries?

Those were MAGGOTS?
I thought that was just old school roman tooth paste (he took it out of his mouth after all).

It stuck. ;)
That is awesome.
I really haven’t heard any Gladiator quotes, ever. Maybe I’m just not surrounded by douche bags. Well, yes I am, but I guess they are uncultured douche bags.

I’m entirely too fed up with every easily impressioned idiot quoting that goddamn movie.
You’re not Russell Crowe
You’ll never fight in the Colisseum
You’re not the saviors of masculinity just because you say so.
Romans didn’t speak with an English accent (come on, seriously)
Most people who quote it would piss their pants at the thought of a Roman short sword through the kidneys.
It’s time to move on, kids. What are you all going to quote next, Ellen Degeneres?
Why get your panties in a bunch? Besides, what is the big deal in getting motivation and inspiration from movies? Nathan Hale quoted from the play “Cato” right before the Brits hanged him during the revolution when he said, " I regret I have but one life to give for my country." I say let a hundred douchebags quote the damn movie if one man finds strength in the words.

Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you’ll live… at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin’ to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take… OUR FREEDOM!
BEST FUCKING MOVIE EVER!!! Braveheart is Legendary!
