I came across “quick cook” steel-cut oats in Trader Joe’s market the other day. They only take 8-9 mins to cook. Anybody try these? I’m wondering if they’re any better than regular rolled oats.
Different texture and a nuttier flavor. I bought about 2 cases worth of the McCann’s Irish steel-cut oats a while back. I mainly use them to switch things up a bit.
if you’re already at Trader’s, just head to the freezer section for the “steelcut oatmeal” cooked oats. They’re vacuum/individually packed – does not get any easier.
