I bought two, one for my brother and one for myself along with Power Drive.
I’ve tried both separately and together and haven’t noticed anything outstanding in training. Energy is there and perhaps it’s not noticed as much because of no stims (which is a good thing).
I’m taking the suggested dosage.
I’m currently at about 110 kg though and thought perhaps I should increase dosage? Any thoughts and ideas about it?
Re: Power Drive, haven’t noticed much if anything at all mental clarity wise or motivation/drive wise.
Should I also up the dosage on this?
As you can see they’re mainly questions before I jump to conclusions but my only criticism is that Surge tastes really waxy maize starch like. I could swear that THIS is actually the ingredient in the ingredient list where it states:
“BiotestÃ??Ã?® Quick-Sustainable Energy (proprietary blend of fractionated rice oligodextrin, palatinose, D-glucose)”
Is this the actual ingredient and it’s just given a fancy name cause that’s my only criticism as it tastes like crap lol.
I’ve only taken it before conditioning and some weights training so yet to try it before fight training.
Anyway, info on upping the dosage by people in the know or regular users will be appreciated.
Waxy maize is composed of amylopectin. Rice oligodextrin, palatinose, and glucose are a different variety of carbohydrates and are superior to amylopectin in terms of absorption.
How much did you take and how long was your training session? I think the recommended dosage is 1 scoop per half hour.

same here
I think what I will do is take a ridiculous amount of it near the end of my bottle and if nothing happen I wont be buying it anymore
I could tell how effective it was the first time I tried it. I’m sure the only difference between us is our workouts, probably why it worked so well for me.
I’m assuming you tried the lemonade flavor seeing how fruit punch has been OOS. I have some fruit punch left and will probably not like the lemonade either when I have to try it. I really like the fruit punch flavor.
My workouts generally last about an hour and I take 2 scoops 40 minutes before. I’m also using Surge Recovery and FINiBARs on top of the Surge Workout Fuel though, so that may factor into the effectiveness of the Surge Workout Fuel.
How did you manage to get the Power Drive? I’m almost certain it’s been on backorder for a few weeks now. Must have something to do with you being in Australia. I have to place another order tonight b/c original Surge Recovery is now available.

Yeh I’m gonna do the same tonight.

Thanks for the reply.
Yeh Lemonade flavour is what I ordered, really tastes powdery… like you’re downing a bottle of baby powder minus the sweet smell lol. It’s also a little texturey and I find it hard to drink happily. Even if I mix it with something else, it’s hard to defeat that powdery-texture.
My workouts are ranged from fast paced almost crossfit style to absolute strength low rep powerlifting style.
Fight gym opens back up in a few days so will take it then as well, those workouts last an hour and a half to 2 hours so will see how we hold up in comparison.
Will also experiment with dosage increase.
Got the Power Drive straight from the store with no issues.
It really surprises me how you’re able to down those bars or any food before training. Pre workout drinks are still something I’m getting used to. I like the Russian style ‘stay a little hungry’ type of fueling and used to never take pre workout drinks or any food for up to 3 hours before a training session.
Believe me, I’ve put not puking on the gym floor to the test many times and it’s even ruined a few of my workouts. What you need to do is work up to the full protocol getting down as much as you can without hurling. It took alot of trial and error for me to get where I’m at now.
The first thing I would do is up the dosage. At your size I would have started using 2scps right off the bat. You need to understand that there is nothing special about this product other than it being a quick, easy, and flavourful option that covers the foundations of pre-workout nutrition. IMO, all it really is,
Hydroslate protein
Matodextrin/glucose
L-luecine
Vitamin C (to increase nitric oxide levels)
So technically you should feel results with the right dosage.

Surge Workout Fuel doesn’t have any protein in it. what you described really isn’t whats in it. Look at the label again. It is mostly rice oligodextrin and palatinose for carb sources, L-Leucine, Beta Alanine, Citrulline Malate, and electrolytes.

Oh wow, I was looking at Surge post, thanks for catching that. Brain function has been down since I ended my EC stack lol.
Well I upped the dosage to 1.5 times for Surge and kept the Power Drive at just over 1 scoop. That seemed to do the trick.
The overwhelming sensation was that I had energy to burn without the high heart rate of stimmed products. Surprisingly I was so energetic after doing the normal weight workout I grabbed my sled and some kettlebells and went down to the park in the rain and did some sprints, kettlebell throws etc.
Came home, had a shower, ate and then went on a fast power walk lol. I think that did the trick.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
Now just gotta remember to try the fruit punch flavour instead lol

Need a damn blue raspberry flavour mmmmmm
I will up the dosage too then. I’ll take 3 scoops at 195 lbs
You should’ve tried 2-3 right out of the gate imo. That way you’d know how your body responds to 1, 2, and 3 scoops. I’d like to take 3 scoops per workout but don’t b/c it throws the #'s off for the month.
Sometimes I’ll only take 1 scoop on less taxing days then take an extra 1 on leg days. This way it balances itself out and a tub lasts me the entire month. I really can’t imagine training w/o anymore. That’d suck.
I was going to throw Surge Workout Fuel onto my order yesterday but decided against it b/c I have 18 scoops of fruit punch left. I don’t think the lemonade flavor will sit well with me either, but if I have to, I have to.
I have a problem switching flavors when I find one I really like. I was thinking about ordering one of the other flavors of Surge Recovery yesterday but couldn’t. I love original too much to try the other flavors. Fruit Punch Surge Workout Fuel is the same way for me.
1 - How is your PERFORMANCE? The supplement might not make you “feel” anything (it doesnt have any caffeine or anything like that, it isnt going to send your heart racing). The Power Drive is a “neural” product supposedly, while MIGHT have you feel something, but its something you take pre workout to prime the nervous system or whatever. The REAL test is if your squat goes up, not if you FEEL jacked for 40 minutes. This will be difficult to assess after a single workout.
Are you progressing at all? More than normal? Doing anything else differently? Are your workouts better towards the end? Are you losing stamina as fast? Did the exercises at the end of your workout improve?
2 - What is your training like? The product (Surge Workout Fuel) is designed for the endurance crowd. It might have some carryover into the Body building crowd, but if you are doing a 30 minute chest workout, this product may be overkill for you. It was designed with sports training (2-4 hour training sessions) in mind if I’m not mistaken.

Thanks for asking.
I may have been misleading with my ‘feel’ comments, apologies. I did mean as you ask, ie I felt my performance has not really improved, strength, stamina or neural drive/output on exercises on the previous recommended dosages. I increased to 1.5 x the dosage and as mentioned above automatically had energy to burn and wasn’t losing stamina.
If it was designed for the endurance crowd then why is it so heavily promoted to the bodybuilding crowd? Even though I’m not into bodybuilding but more the strength/conditioning aspect of training and the fight training. As mentioned, will take some before workout tomorrow in fight gym and keep you informed. That will last 2-4 hours.

What are you expecting to feel from SWF? Do you feel jacked when you slam down a gatorade? SWF is simply a much better form of gatorade. It replenishes electrolytes and gives you sustained carbohydrate through your activity, instead of the corn syrup shit you get with gatorade. Its good stuff, but if you are waiting for a “buzz” this ain’t the product. Pop a Spike, or a Vivarin 45 min before training if you need a stimulant.
Oh I don’t know…a ‘Surge’? lol Should be called ‘extend’ not Surge. Second time I took it at 1.5 the dose and seems to do the trick for me.
