Questions: Anastrozole, TBT

I finally have gotten on Anastrozole. I took my first dose yesterday. I woke up this morning with great libido. Is it possible that it kicked in this fast or am I getting a placebo effect?

Also, has anyone used the Chad Waterbury TBT program? I would say I’m more into the bodybuilding side of lifting than the powerlifting. I set-up a workout based on the TBT, but feel like I’m not hitting all my muscles. Basic principle is 4 compound exercises combined with 2 isolation movements per workout.

I’ve been on for two weeks now following it to a tee (ie time between sets / failure on last rep, last set)and just don’t feel like I’m working as hard. I’m not waking up sore like I did with 4 on 3 off individual bodypart workouts. Am I not giving it enough time? Thanks for any help.

Anastrozole did not work that fast on me and I do not recall it working that fast on others here. My MD said it would take about 7 - 10 days to feel the benefits and as I recall that was about right. However, your mileage may vary.

Why are you on it?

Then you ARE hitting all the muscles.

I’ve been on for two weeks now following it to a tee (ie time between sets / failure on last rep, last set)and just don’t feel like I’m working as hard.

Then work harder. Trust me, you can.

That’s the beauty of it; you don’t get as sore. If you don’t get as sore you might just be more motivated. Soreness should not be used as the be-all, end-all of perceived training effectiveness. Progress should be.

Thanks for the response. I’m on Anastrozole because I was placed on HRT due to very low test levels. I’m getting effects of high estrogen levels. As for the TBT workout I guess what I meant when I said I’m not hitting all muscle groups is because I’ve always trained calves, forearms and neck 3x/week. If you follow TBT to a science you only do 6 exercises for a total of 18 sets max. With that being said I’m not hitting those muscles or if I do it would be once every two to three weeks. Along with that I’ve always trained the exact same way (by bodypart) usually incorporating 9-12 sets per. So this is definitely very foreign to me. I respect your comment on muscle soreness. I think thats another reason I’m struggling with this. I’ve always lived under the philosophy that if you are not sore you aren’t training hard. The whole reason I’ve gone to TBT is because I don’t feel I’m making gains for the amount of effort I’m putting in, and believed I may be overtraining. So TBT is making me feel like I’m going to the complete opposite side of the spectrum and not training enough.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I was just getting placebo effect. I woke up this morning feeling right back to old self. No libido and hazy. I will monitor and see how it works a couple weeks from now.
