I am only 34 but my doctor has mentioned using a Test cream to help keep my Test up. Has anyone had any experience with this? I am not looking to do a cycle or get huge but try to maintain good test levels to stay active and so on. My levels are a little on the low side but not bad.
Thanks
Hi…
I’ve used Testim gel for a LONG time (over 10 years), because my levels were at the low end of normal. My primary care physician said not to worry, but I could see a specialist if I was concerned. The specialist said they were at the low end of normal, but normal for a 65 y/o. So I’ve been using the gel to keep my levels in the “normal” range.
I think you’d have to use a LOT of gel to get your test levels up to where you’d see a significant difference (i.e., like you were “cycling”), but if your test levels are low a prescribed does sufficient to get your levels to normal will help you keep and grow muscle mass (depending on your training and diet of course).
If you can afford it, I think it’s a good thing.
Just my $.02

You cannot supplement T as added T reduces your own production. As you add more and more, levels will go up as your HPTA shuts down.
Get and retain copies of your lab work.
Post lab numbers.
You need TT, FT, E2, LH, FSH.
Your levels may be low because of other medical problems and drugs [OTC and Rx].
