Hi Coach,
The best MUSCLE GROWTH protocol will be:
-90 Alpha-GPC
-45 2 Finibars
-30 2 scoops Surge Workout Fuel
-15 2 scoops Surge Recovery
during the workout 2 scoops Anaconda
60 minutes after the workout 20g casein hydrolysate
…and 90 minutes after the workout a solid meal?
If someone can’t get FiNibars, Anaconda, Casein hydrolysate (here in Italy I can’t find them)
which are the best ( ok not optimal, but at least decent…and however better than the "old school"para-workout protocol )substitutes?
What does the W stand for? I’m assuming this means pre-workout? Excuse my ignorance, could someone please clarify?
Also, are you guys consuming all this every workout?
Ya exactly. The ‘W’ stands for workout and the number following it indicates the time pre-workout the supplement is taken. I have been, for the past 2-3 weeks, been consuming the protocol before each of my upper and lower body workouts.

What do you take during workouts? You said Hydrolized protein. Where do I get that by itself?
Just because you take it prior to or during training doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have this effect pwo.
Hmm, I guess I never thought of it that way. I was thinking of it in terms of WHEN you ingest the formula and have always been taught on this site that the second you finish your last set, pound that Surge Recovery down.
Which brings other questions into play. I take 2 scoops of Surge Workout Fuel about 15 minutes prior to training. I take 2 1/2 scoops Surge Recovery the second I’m done training. From my understanding, these formulas are extremely precise formulas that are designed specifically for pre and post workout. I’ve been told time and time again to not mess with the formulas, in other words it is ideal to take them on an empty stomach. Now we are being told to basically double everything and take them at different times than were originally stated.
I have gotten fantastic results (gained 15 pounds of muscle in 2 months) from incorporating Surge Workout Fuel into my supplement arsenal, and I take it as the directions state - 2 scoops prior to training.
For those of us addicted to stimulant pre-workout (HOT-ROX, Spike, etc.) I know you mentioned something about this having an effect on catecholamines and blunting insulin production. So how important is it not to take fat-burners (products containing yohimbine, caffeine, ephedra, synephrine, etc.) para-workout with this protocol?
I know you are not keen on the idea of not using the exact supplements for the protocol, but if one cant get CH would it be better to use WH with Leucine rather than just WH? This is with regard to the pulsing. For during workout what is better, WH, Amino acids or a combination of the two?
Thanks for all the advice coach, it really helps. By using the pulsing and sorting out my para-workout nutrition I’ve picked up 6kgs (13lbs) and droped my BF from 16% to 12% in the last 2 months. Can’t wait for the full program

WH + leucine is a decent option for pulsing and it can be a somewhat decent second option for during workout,

can Poliquin’s Catechola Calm be used before w/o? i have no idea of the whole catecholamines business ,im just throwing a suggestion out there.
If you want to be sleepy and have no energy during the workout it’s a good idea!
Catecholamines are needed for proper physical performance.

So we can pretty much throw this Surge Recovery quote right out the window? -
“Switches on anabolism and halts catabolism when it’s absolutely most important - post workout.”
I would love a complete clarification from the folks at Biotest.
Surge Recovery is a great formula. However it was designed about 8 years ago and at that time it was believed that the most important window to ingest carbs and protein was post-workout… heck, about 80% of the training world still believe that!
That quote was written when the product was originally designed.
will the superprogram “I,BODYBUILDER” contain option(s) of paraworkout nutrition?
Not really. I’ve tried a lot of alternatives when I ran out of the correct supplements, even had custom formula made. But I was never able to duplicate the effects. I think that it’s because of the extra ingredients (on top of carbs, protein and aminos) contained in Workout Fuel and Anaconda.

Is there a place for Receptormax in this protocol? Or would taking that product 30 minutes prior to working out be counter productive?
I mentioned this in the past. Adding ReceptorMax is likely to enhance the protocol mainly by making yourself more sensitive to insulin.

O God…I’d love to try the pulse. But living in Europe and especially in a country where its difficult to find whey protein let alone FINiBARs and Workout Fuel.I think I might never have a taste of The pulse
.Unless CT would advise a maybe-not-so-good “food” type of Pulse?
No food is absorbed fast enough to cause a pulsing effect. In fact no protein except casein hydrolysate and maybe whey hydrolysate is absorbed fast enough for it to work.

ok thanx a lot coach.I guess That I’ll have to see if I can find Whey hydrolysate and see what I can do.
Thanx for your time
I wanna try your Para-Workout Nutrition protocol the only problem is that I train very early in the morning: 5:00. So I wake up at 4:00 eat breakfast at 4:15. Can you protocol be adapted?
Also I 'm still in the planning phase for twice a day split for one week on and one off (essentials services duty…). Do you have to repeat the insulin spikes?
