Questioning My Decision on TRT

So i just started TRT im wondering if i made the right decision. TBH i ran 2 cycles some 15 yrs back, first cycle was just test at 500mg pw and pct went well, the 2nd cycle was EQ and Test stacked, and pct didnt go well and i remember the hormonal crash and depression that followed. I’m a bit worried about that or going through that at this point in my life and have much more to lose right now.

So I am wondering if I did stop after 1 injection how much of a suppression will I encounter? Im certain I’ll be suppressed somewhat as cyp will be in my body for over 2 weeks. I am up in the air about it right now and have a few more days to think it over before doing another injection or deciding otherwise.

I like how it makes me feel, but man I do not want to ever go through what I did post 2md cycle again.

Why do you think you’ll have a hormonal crash and depression on TRT?

Indecisiveness and second guessing one’s self is a symptom of low testosterone, especially when you don’t see any benefits yet.

You need to have patience.

If i ever have to stop for whatever reason that is… health etc… that part of my life long ago wasnt forgotten and its the only reason i hesitated starting.

TRT is a lifetime treatment. There is no stopping nor any condition that responsible TRT should have to be ceased. I don’t see the dilemma unless your not in need of TRT in the first place.

Were you diagnosed with hypogonadism by a doctor?

my free is that of a 80 yr old… not clinically low but its low… bioavailable as well, lower end, not clinically again… but all the symptoms present… like all of them.

What were the numbers? And what were your symptoms?

It seems like you don’t have a doctor. Do you?

trouble sleeping, low libido, erections, not interested in woman much, irritable to the point I was risking my job, brain fog, times when I had hot flashes at night while sleeping, its been a week and I mood is already better, kinda feel like I did in my 20s…

Yes I have a doctor and a local one in New York City. free test was 60’s range is 42 to like 200+ total low 500’s… Which might be fine for some, but not for someone as active as myself.

This thread was posted because I know first hand the consequences of hormones, many of you may not have ever done anything than TRT, and as I said in my original post, that time period in my life scares me as in I never ever want to go through that again.

I think what some are trying to say is if you feel great on TRT, why would you even think about stopping and going through hell again.

It seems like you are equating your 2nd cycle of 500mg+ Test and EQ plus PCT (with no medical support) with Test only at TRT (~100-120mg) levels (with medical support). They are very far from being equal…

If your concern of maybe someday needing to come off TRT and maybe your doctor messes up your PCT has a higher value than giving yourself Test levels to fix your various issues…then come off, I guess?
But…there’s no reasonable reason to do so, it would be an emotionally driven decision. And those decisions, all the logic in the world does not help with.
