Question on Indigo -3G (cyadin 3-glycoside) timing

For those that have taken this supplement - from Biotest or elsewhere - do you have any advice on the two protocols I’ve seen using the “search” feature:

  1. Take before training - which for me involves about 40g of cyclic dextrin as the carb source.
  2. Take before the largest meal of the day.

Which is more effective? Does it really matter? Could you split/double the dose? Thanks! I’m new to this but figured I’d give it try after doing some research on it and leaning up for the summer.

Supposedly it’s “in you” for 6-8 hours. @Matthew_Weeldreyer and @Chris_Shugart had some advice for me when I asked the same question that boiled down to “both are good,” but…
Pre-workout was their preference. The idea is that’s when you really want to take advantage of everything. Plus, you’re likely eating some carbs in that window PWO in addition to the intra? Taking the C3G then should maximize that whole part of your day.
All that said, I definitely see the value of this before your big meal… especially as insurance against a cheat/ refeed.

Makes good sense. That’s what I’ve done the two I’ve taken it, so it’s good to know that seems to be the preferred method. Thanks!

When it first introduced, it was part of the “protocol“. If I remember correctly, it was: indigo ~30 minutes before pre-workout nutrition — which was one or two Finibars and 6 scoops Anaconda. I cannot recall the macros of this but 1) it was insanely expensive per session (so better work extremely hard to make it worthwhile) and 2) it worked like magic. Really transformative for the year or so I (could afford and) used it. Great experience with it all.

Great points! I think 1 and 2 work together a bit. I used to notice this with myself, not just for the money, but for the caloric “cost” - if I’m going to put all this in me, I’d better earn it. Then it helped me recover to do it again tomorrow. Very symbiotic.

So to be sure, you’re saying C3G was transformative and would recommend it? What exactly did you like about it?

@Juicewrld
100% accurate. I could eat 6-700 more calories, not being obsessive about macros, only making sure I was having a fair bit of meat, and I observed myself becoming more muscular and more lean simultaneously. My usual first solid meal post workout was a gyro, rice, French fries and dessert. I’m wanting to run the entire Indigo, Finibars, Plazma again and continue nonstop but I can’t afford it at present. Plus, it has a myriad of health benefits. Nothing else like it that I know of.
