Question For Mr Shugart

mr.shugart, I will be following your experiment and i hope the best. I am going to make 05 the year i get in the best shape i have ever been. i was just curios about these walks in a fasted state. how far or long are these walks going to be? will you be adding time or distance as the year progresses or is the fact that you are doing a little cardio everyday the most important part of this experiment. I am going to start these walks myself to see where it takes me, but i just needed a little guidance first. Should i worrry about time or distance or just get my butt outside and get moving. If you or anyone else with advice has time to respond please do so. I thank you in advance.
thanks, mikek

Everyone is different. Does a guy who sits in an office all day need as much cardio as a guy who works construction? And NEPA is just one factor.

My advice:

  1. Do stuff.

  2. Evaluate if stuff works after a fair amount of time.

  3. Adjust stuff as needed based on results.

  4. Never sit around not doing stuff waiting until the “perfect stuff” comes along.

  5. Never sit around waiting to learn all there is to know about stuff before starting to try stuff. You have to do stuff to learn stuff.

In other words, just get your butt outside and get moving.

You can follow the blog and copy the stuff I do to get started, but hell, I don’t even know if I’m doing the right stuff yet. (And therein lies the fun stuff!)

thanks for the reply. I will be outside with my butt walking in the morning. You T-mag writers are great and always say the right stuff. gracias, mikek
