Question about Tadalafil Ordered from TRT Clinic

Hey all,

Been on TRT for about a year and it’s been wonderful for me. The only issue I’ve come across is the occasional ED. Not catastrophic, but now and then. I’m sure it’s a low E2 issue, which I’m working on straightening out.

Anyway, On my latest refill of my TRT meds, I ordered some tadalafil and was going to try and perhaps work it into my regimen or use as needed, not sure yet.

The meds I ordered look like this: Tadalafil 24mg (compounded).

I’ve been digging around a bit online to see if I can get some clarification as to what exactly this means. I guess that different companies have been taking tadalafil and making their own ED compounds using it alongside other supplements? I just wish I knew how much of what compounds were in it. Not sure how much to take.

Would anyone possibly be able to shed a bit of light here? I’d really appreciate it! Thanks so much!!

It is tadalafil made specifically as prescribed by your doctor. A capsule (or tablet) contains 24mg as prescribed for you.

If it’s a capsule, that’s a good size. That would work for most people for a whole weekend. If I couldn’t break it up, I’d start at like every 3 days.

If I could break it up, I’d do 12 mg EOD.

My only negative with the bigger dose is that I get stuffed up.

Tadalafil can also lower E2 in men by changing T:E2 ratios.

A significant decrease in E levels occurred at the end of the study.

Question

Generic taladafil comes in dosages up to 80mg per unit

Is there ever an indication to dose that high or is the tablet supposed to be broken into halves?

I thought max dose was around 40mg for conditions like pulmonary arterial hypertension.

That is also what I thought.

If you’ve never taken tadalafil before I wouldn’t recommend taking anything over 5mg per day for the first few days, just to see how you react. It has a long half-life so once per day is more than plenty.

I personally experience a stuffy nose at 5mg. At 10mg and above I get the shakes and a high fever that lasts until the drug wears off. I realize this is uncommon and although I’m not hypersensitive when it comes to medication, tadalafil is one of the rare drugs that I have complications with. You should start slow and work your way up.

Is this a capsule or a troche?

Troches typically can be broken in quarters and sometimes are cost effective to reduce cost per mg. What does your Rx state?

Same with me. Even 2.5mg lately has been with a massive headache and can barely breath. I think it’s a histamine issue

I got stuffy on Cialis initially (that seemed to go away). I can handle 12.5 mg EOD with no perceivable side effects (other than, well you know). Viagra on the other hand. I can hardly get air through my nose at all. It is like I have the worst allergies. I’ve also gotten a blurry ring in my vision from it. I much prefer Cialis. Not much to deal with for timing it either.

So weird. I have started and stopped Cialis about 5 times, a couple days into it my head hurts so damn much I have to lay in the dark. I take Sudo for the congestion and that helps.

I’m currently dropping all my ancillaries and taking just Test+GH and I will try adding it back in slowly in a week or so.

You may only need like 5 mg EOD (or 2.5 mg ED). It seems there are guys out there that respond well to that dose.

I take 5 mg every day for bph and I have never had any problems and def enjoy the benefits

Yea but 80mg tablets exist!

Yeah I wonder why the short of breath, do you also get heavier heart beats when it happens?

Tried 20mg tadalafil for fun… I get stuffy nose, headache for maybe 30 mins.
Next morning pain in stomach, bloated feeling.

Personally preferred viagra.

Gray market or UGL? I see some examples of this on the internet but am not aware of any Rx guidelines above 40 mg/day as you noted. Maybe these are “value” gray market tablets that can be split or quartered? Similar to the comments I made on US compounded troches above.

No can’t say I do. I get really flushed sometimes

I started at 5mg and had really bad heartburn. Split into 2.5, still had it but was tolerable. Went back to 5 and can handle it better but I couldn’t imagine what it would do to me at 24mg. I would be eating tums like candy and in severe pain from indigestion.
