Question About Posture

Streching tight pecks helps to keep the shoulders “back”, stretching upper traps helps to keep them “down”, but does stretching the lats play any role in upper body posture?

im not a doctor, but just as you have thought out the pecs and the traps, think out the lats…

basically, if any of your muscle groups are “too tight,” its going to make the other muscles around it work overtime. you will end up with weird aches and pains all over. its definitely a good idea to give everything a good stretch every so often. if you have time, do some stretching in the morning, itll help you wake up, along with keeping everything working better.

I don’t think that stretching helps posture a bit.
Bad posture is caused by either imbalancies or weakeness.

Consider this thought; since when is being so tight on one side of your body that it pulls on the other side not an imbalance?

This is very wrong.

Consider very tight pecs or hip flexors. You can see your posture improve after streching them only a few minutes. This is kind of what I was wondering in my original question about lats role in posture.
