Hello,
I have been reading this magazine and watching the forum for about a year now. I was reminded by Don Alessi’s Booming Biceps part II of question that has been on my mind for quite some time. I have always had a certain degree of imbalance in my shoulder blades that is visible from my back. I believe my right shoulder is normal, but my left side suffers from a much smaller and flatter trap, and if I pull my shoulder blades back, an off-vertical line (i believe a line of the shoulder blade) on the left side is visible. I can pull my left shoulder blade back further than my right but it won’t move as far forward, etc. After reading Booming Biceps II, I thought the flat trap might indicate scapular winging. However when I perform the dumbbell L-lateral raise I feel a sharp pulling pain in my left shoulder joint and hear cracking/popping noises. What kind of doctor or therapist might I approach to diagnose or treat me? I cant stand that I feel my upper torso is off-axis and I get shoulder pain from a lat raise…thanks.
