Quest for Elite

Awesome thread!! Interesting to see what others do for workouts; compare/contrast with one’s own. Nice job!!!

not firing on all cylinders. A few possibilities. Tommorow is another day.

but i gave it a try anyway.
mobility
squat 225x3, 315x3, 405x3, loose 46 centurion w/loose belt 495x2, tight belt 585x1, 495x2, 585x1 second 585 set stopped before second rep because IT band tweaked a bit, suit off 315x5 deep pauses. Need to foam roll my ITs

raw dl 225x3, 315x3, 405x3, 495x3
sumo clean grip dl 225x3, 335x3x2
pullupx5, chinx7

fuming afterward about this crappy workout and effect of shitting green, weight loss, and loose gear making things hard when i ran into an old friend i hadn’t seen in years. He lost his house and got divorced during katrina. Worse, he tore both pecs benching the year before.

So i won’t complain.

Nothing contructive, just wanted to say I really like your log and good luck hitting elite.

Jack,

You’re an animal my brother, keep up the good work.

very quick this a.m.

200 ft sled drag 2x88 5 trips forward, 1 trip backwards
farmers walks 2x88s around yard

a huge 3 week block coming up, complicated by work travel.

Adapt,Overcome, Dominate.

Hey Jack, talked to Terry, hes going to take a long lunch both Tues and Wed when your here. I got him an Inzer Blue DD, super neck, scooped neck, grid stitch, open back. He almost touched 385 today and blew it up. He really needs you to look at him in it.

Your w/os look good, we hit ME squats tonight, did 480+purples 8x2, then we set the bar on the pins (about half squat) and worked up to 815+purples and greens, check it out, about 1000lbs on the top:

Hey Jack.
I have enjoyed reading your articles. Being an IPF lifter it is great to get your perspective on things.
I just found your log and and would like to ask you two things?

  1. I tried an F6 for the first time yeasterday. No help in the top what so ever. My rageX helps me way more through the entire lift. is this because of my shitty setup? Or is the shirt more of a speed shirt where you have to keep speed high to glide to lockout?
Based on my initial experience I think I will stick with my rageX

  2. your back problems. What is the cause and what does your chiro work on?
I am just trying to pick up good tips for a guy with SI joint/lower back issues

Botom line is you have to work with what you feel most comfortable in. F6 works great for me and i like it’s lockout hel, but i haven’t used and Inzer shirt in years. Interested but i don’t have time ot learn another shirt. Maybe if i become a B specialist.

My chiro does basic adjustments, but focuses on my neck (which is fused at the bottom it turns out from football and rugby, amongst others things), and my hips.

My hip problem is age and wear and tear, one leg slightly shorter than the other, hip mobility, an old adductor injury, plus the rack i came out of last meet was uneven.

Get the Mag Mobility Video from Cressey and Robertson. Improvement in a month of doing 3-5x a week.

Being a PL at a higher level has a cost.

Thank you for your time
Most people here use titan gear, but the Rage gives me most pop.
Just wanted to see if I could pick up any pointers that could help me keep healthy.
I own the M2 but don’t do the drills as much as I should :frowning: Shame on me.

IT bands bothersome and only week1 so went a bit easy. Lots of pop in SQs and DLs.

2/7 extra
sled drags 200 feet w 2x88s 8 trips forward
grass long and dry and this was very hard today.
farmers walks 2x88s x 2 trips around yard

Looks like you are on track for hitting the numbers you need!

The workouts look awesome. I will start sled dragging again after Nationals – less than two weeks now.

Best of luck…

Hope to see ya again sometime.

Slid RE BP a day because my entire pec insertions and all around the pec was sore, AND my wife got sick so that closed the deal. Will do speed sq and dl with RE BP in middle tommorow.

…Malinda, hope to make it to BR for at least saturday if i get in early enough friday night from a work trip.
