squeeeeel Wow. WOW!! You little biznatch! What a great gig. The pics turned out fantastic!

Seriously, if plumbers in NY were this hot, I’d be throwing washcloths down the toilet! Love it.

Beautiful pictures, frenchie! You have so much talent.

I have an eye for sexeh things and an imagination to light the night.
got pics of future models.
lord have mercy.

Went to bed at nearly 2am last night due to project. Woke up ay 7:30 by habit and couldn’t fall asleep. Was due for some heavy deads today and knew I wasn’t going to kill it on 5 hours of sleep. Almost weaseled my way out of it but ended up bribing myself with my new socks. Game plan was to hit prescribed reps and nothing more.

Hammies and back were sore from previous lifting this week.

Foam roll
hip stretch
retard frogs
bodyweight squats
ham stretch
shoulder disclocates
firehydrants

Deads

135 x8
155 x5
185 x5
225 x3
235 x3
250 x3
250 - tried a second time but bar wouldn’t budge
225 - tried for a finisher but bar wouldn’t budge.

wrapped up my stuff and went home. I’m just glad I hit the 250 x3 despite the lack of sleep. Tomorrow I have an active rest day planned including yoga in the parc, a light jog and some lounging and swimming…
should be pleasant

form isn’t stellar but I wanted to show off my socks :stuck_out_tongue:

  1. NICE deads! Your legs are looking lean…are you dropping BF? Whatever the case, this video is full of win. Socks are adorbs!

  2. Tons of hot models? I wanna be you.

Dasher -thanks darlin! I was noticing a little more definition in the legs too. I haven’t been “dieting” at all so the leanness is a positive effect from direct leg work and increase in leg strength/mass. I’m doing something right

speaking of doing something right I realized that we are soon hitting August which means past the halfway point of the year. I decided to pull my resolutions for this year and see where I stand.

A- did very good on the warmups and foam rolling. I never ever did that stuff before (I’ve been lifting for 6 years) then I realized mobility actually helped add poundage to my bar. See how I get motivated  also I find I’m not suffering from doms as much.

B- Bench: add 10lbs to my max which would make it 160. I’m halfway, managed a 155 in spring before stagnating and loosing it. But currently on a new upswing and I have a feeling I might hit it by December. Considering that my non-diet weight is hovering around 160, this would make it a new legit bodyweight press

C- Squat: old max 155. Goal was to reach 225 with good form this year. I’m at 205; 50lbs down another 20lbs to go. I can do this.

D- dealifts: old max 280lbs. this year’s goal 315. I’ve managed 305, only 10lbs to go!!!

E - I threw this last one in there as an afterthought to balance the heavy lifting: 5 unassisted pullups. I haven’t focused on these at all. To be honest I forgot about this goal entirely and I’m not too picky about getting it at the moment.

according to my development I’ve reached the halfway point on these and I’m right on track to kill it. How do you guys stand? I know a lot of us wrote our gym resolutions around the same time?

your socks look great! and i still love your shoes. and your legs look awesome, too. nice and strong and curvy
congrats on your resolution progress. strangely enough i have been thinking about my resolutions, too, over the past couple days. will assess my progress. half way through the year - wowsers. that went so fast… but still, half the year to go.

OH…those are great socks! MAN ALIVE you have some cool stuff happening in your log my frenchie

I have to give you so much jealousy, props, and victory humps for your fantastic strength gains! my goodness…that bench…sigh  Love it!

Excellent progress on those goals! And a midway assessment is a great idea…

Great progress, girl!

You reminded me of that 2011 goal thread from the beginning of the year so I bumped it. It would be interesting to see where everyone is at now that we’re halfway through the year.

functional is such a bullshit word. my bench isn’t functional: want to step up to me and say that to my face and gamble whether the strength in my chest has possible worked its way to my shoulders, biceps, triceps forarms and fist bitch?
[/quote]

This made me smile

Had a great time today - was invited by a friend to do a yoga session in the park. Then we hit an easy pace 6km jog in a wooded trail followed by a light panini lunch and some lounging at the pool.

bright beautiful sunshine and good company.

x2

glad you enjoyed your run.

How do you run when do you don’t run?

Functional strength is strength that best serves the functions you want it to.

I want it to get me three white lights. Thats my function.

i think.

First off, congrats on the bench PR! That’s awesome.

Modelling photography? That’s pretty cool as well!

Easy…6km…I would have to be walkiang for 6km to be considered easy. lol. Been slacking on the conditioning.
