One thing I notice is that you have your feet set and then when you bend over to grab the bar you reset your feet in a different position.
Get positioned and planted - grab bar - set back - power bar off ground - lock out - bask in your awesomesauce…but you already know all that. Just sayin’

Soldog - bruise is actually starting to fade - it came from my Mp3 clasp that dug deep into my thigh on squat day. I blame that for missing my 205lbs. It bit like a mofo.

yeah, it would be interesting to know what your free T3/T4 levels are. I do have some issues with bodyhair / acne - but my levels are ‘within normal range’ apparently, even allowing for them to fluctuate a bit higher. One doc muttered something about my skin having more receptors / being extra sensitive, and a couple chinese docs who didn’t look like they needed to shave muttered something about me maybe having some Italian in me lol.

Alexus - those are interesting reads, personally I don’t trust a one size fits all attitude. Neither men nor women respond to training with massive surges of T all the time. Depends on biology, type of training, medical history… so many variables. Are you a high T producer to begin with ect… What I DO know is that many writers/ researchers tailor the texts to their readers. The majority of women do no want to hear that exercise will increase T, ties into the godzilla woman fear.

Although my lower back is a little sore I was looking forward to go to the gym. Where as last week I would have convinced myself to rest, today I was thinking “fuck yeah! What other body part can I destroy?” Don’t know if this makes any sense?

140 1x8 - quads are def getting stronger
Dumbbell snatch 35lbs 3x8.
Leg Press machine + 180lbs 4x6
Pushups on medicine ball 3x8
Smith machine calf raises 135 3x8
Jack Knives 3x25
Treadmill 25 mins of 3mph incline 5%-12%.
I have a hiking trip planned for the last week of August and haven’t done any conditioning in ages so I’ll be adding this type of cardio as prep to my trip.

Try this, plant your feet in your stance standing up.
Now lower your chin into you chest.
Now throw your head back.
You should feel some motion down your back and into your hips, like they’re trying to move forward even though that wasn’t your original motion. Sumo is not my strong point which I will admit right now but if you think about throwing your head back/ hips forward as your first motion it may keep you in a better position and help your speed off the floor and keep you from getting so much upper back rounding which should put you in a better position to lock out. Slow to the party, but nice pulling! Wobbly or not, 295 is some serious weight.
I totally understand the destroying another body part feeling. Those days where you just wanna get in the gym and get something done, while working around what ails you. If anything, sometimes getting in the gym just lets you forget about that other soreness.
