Ever tried Moroccan Oil for your hair? I love the results ( when I remember to do it). $20 for a tiny bottle but it lasts for freakin’ ever. I mean EVER because you only use a drop.

Thanks. I’d never heard of it, so I just looked it up. It looks like it contains a couple of different types of silicone, along with argan oil and some linseed. I bet that does make your hair shiny and keep down frizz.
SP - That was a cool article. And you are looking leggy and lean. ![]()

Nikki Rouillard former Bball player. Apparently she weights bout 137.
UGH! This makes me want to get back to the “DB press your BW” challenge that I was doing when Bobbi was around. But as soon as I would get to 50s I ALWAYS fucked up my shoulder (actually its the pec/front shoulder tie in area). Meh! Maybe next cycle I’ll get back on that.
db press bw?? not likely to happen for me unless I drop about 50lbs.
That is strong though, damn.
That is impressive. Although I’ve benched my BW there’s no way I could do it with dumbells. But in any case, my shoulder has been pissy so I’ve stayed away from benching for quite a while.

So, I have a question that I think I have asked in the past in someone’s log, but not to the general PW populace. When you say you have “egg whites” for bfast, how do you cook them? And why don’t meal plans have actual meals? Why just ingredients? Aren’t MEAL plans supposed to take the thinking out of the picture? That’s why it’s a MEAL plan, right?
Sorry, that’s multiple questions, they just kind of rolled all into a mini-rant.
eggwhites:
scrambled with vegg and cheese
my fav way - with oates and fruit. its the eggwhite pancake.
I’m going to qualify this with, Greenie, I don’t mean to offend.

Like Frenchie, scrambled with veges and cheese. Occasionally just added to a shake.
So you can trick yourself into thinking you get variety.
Egg Whites + blueberries + PP + oatmeal
= blueberry oatmeal with a shake and egg whites
= a giant shake
= blueberry pancakes
= a shake and a bowl of fruit
there are many options with those 4 ingredients so then you get a meal plan that’s not just eating the same thing everyday, but actually eating the same thing everyday
Why just ingredients?
see above
Aren’t MEAL plans supposed to take the thinking out of the picture?
A basic meal plan will not, because it assumes you don’t want to eat the same thing everyday, and can think about making what you want on your own. There is also the option of just putting everything in the blender and drinking it if you don’t want to think about it. Someday this is the best option. Some days eating things individually is the best option. It also allows room for what you feel like that day.
I think you’d have to specifically ask that all recipes be laid out exactly to get what you’re looking for. “Meal” plan maybe a misnomer in the strictest sense of the word meal.
I think you’ve asked this same series of questions in my log a few times. I think you need to ask whoever’s making the plan to be more specific, because if you want actual recipies you are going to have to get one custom made.
I would also like to point out that IH is probably very knowledgeable about this stuff. Pretend he’s not your husband one evening and sit down to actually plan out a week’s worth of food for you. Keep in mind both your goals and what you will actually eat.
Dieting sucks, sometimes it’s a matter of just sucking it the fuck up.

Oh, I’m not on any plan because of this reason, nor do I want to be on any plan or strict diet. If I were to be on a plan, it’s because I don’t WANT to think. Give me those options you just listed with the egg whites, blueberries, etc. Isn’t that what plans like NutriSystem and Seattle Sutton (who I’ve seen only in the Chicagoland area), Weight Watchers, etc., are for? So you don’t have to think?
I just find it interesting, that’s all. I promise to not ask these questions again. ![]()

Ah, ok.
I might be a bit idealistic in this, but I was under the impression those programs aren’t supposed to take the thinking out of it, but rather to teach you how to think about food and nutrition properly. I don’t understand why any program would take all the thinking out of it.
I agree with Patches. By not making you think you become dependant on these “expensive” systems. Educating your self is empowering, cheaper and still yeilds results. You want a meal plan for the week sit down over the weekend and make it yourself. That’s how I learned the nutritional value of eggs and cottage cheese.
1- I need four 500 calorie meals
2- they all must include fruit or veg
3- they all must contain 20gr of protein.
4- 3 must contain healthy source of carbs
5- 1 must contain healthy source of fat.
Thanks Cal and Puff. I’ve been in and out of this place lately depending on how bored I get at work ![]()
Does anyone hear use straps for lifting? My grip is OK for doing heavy singles or doubles, but much more than that and my hands give out way before my legs. Its frustrating because I start concentrating more on holding onto the bar and less on form so it goes to hell quickly.
A couple years ago I bought a pair of generic straps from my local Dick’s but they were not exactly designed for my ridiculously skinny wrists. Any input on a good place to look?
thank ![]()

I used to do more omelets with a whole egg plus egg whites and onions and red bell peppers, but now I usually just keep a dozen boiled eggs in the fridge. I’m not sure if you can call peeling eggs and eating the egg white over the sink a “meal”. LOL! I eat them nearly every morning with some fruit before I go to the gym. Then I often eat a few in the evening if I haven’t hit my protein target for the day.
Greneyes, this isn’t really a “plan” but I think it’s a good article about figuring macros and creating a calorie deficit. http://www.johnberardi.com/articles/nutrition/complete.htm
To be honest, I haven’t paid much attention to macros other than trying to make sure I get adequate protein. I’ve been playing around with carb cycling recently, so I’ve been putting everything in fitday to see where I’m at.
i’ve never seen a chick do a chin-up or a pull-up in person… but obviously lots of chicks on here can do them. how about weighted chin-ups? i’d LOVE to be able to do 3x5 with a big plate (20kg - which is around 1/3 my bodyweight). is that a crazy goal or something that might be obtained, do people think??

I think that’s obtainable! I can’t remember what I got to for sure but I think I was doing 3 or 5 reps with 15 lbs. I don’t know why I stopped them actually and I was thinking of adding them back.
^^edit not working…I read your post as lbs not kgs :o) But still, go for it!
thanks debra!!
i think i will. even if it takes me quite a number of years ![]()

Do it!!
I train my pullups as a main lift, and if you go hard on your other main lifts, you can most certainly do it on these!
Just like everything, you need a plan of attack. I think once you get 10x2 or 3, you can start doing 5x1 with weight…it’ll be sooner than you think!

I’ve never used straps and surprisingly never had any issues with it. I used to do a lot of grip training forever. Not sure if there was a correlation. I did plate pinches, grippers, etc. Might want to give that a shot first.
