Well, I reckon you done raised the bar a bit. Can’t let that stand for

Thank you! I am a bit stuck on everything, so this was a nice surprise.

I am self-taught really via the articles and videos on this website (and generally train alone), so I am concerned I don’t know what I am doing.

For example, my deadlift, my torso is pretty much vertical — I don’t lean forward much at all. So essentially I squat my deadlift. Some of this is just being long and spindly. Some is not knowing what I am doing.

I am thinking I am going to make a tri-weekly trip to El Paso (about 2.5 hours or an hour if I fly) to work with a trainer that knows what he is doing, assuming I can find one.

Sweet videos DD. Nice work. Easing back into things (which I hate doing, but know I have to) right now. Will get some videos up in a month or two when I’m ready to full attack old PR’s.

Very impressive increase on the front squat. Kudos.

My recent PRs:

251.4 strict press:

321.4 front squat (this one is up from like 250 4 months ago):

400 paused bench:

I’ve had a number of double PRs and such too but no videos for most of them.
Damn impressive DD, Your pressing strenght is out of this world.

When it’s the only squat you can do, and you’ve never really worked at it before, it increases pretty quick.

I’ve discovered that the secrete to long term progress is consistent training while staying healthy. Hence the disparity between my pressing and squatting.

Temperature PR today deadlifting in garage with no insulation or heat, about 20 degrees, less outside because of windchill. I’m sure someone has probably beat that though.

Very impressive DD!!

Come Z-squat with me, friends and loved ones.
I like them starting from low pins, like an Anderson squat. I usually set the pins to where I can barely get my knees under the bar and and work up to a heavy single after dead lifts. I’ve seen your 455 Zercher video, that was beastly. My best ever from low pins is 385.

Best ever by 10 pounds. 405 for a single was all I could get 2 months ago when I first tried to go heavier like this. Today I got 6 with 405, 2 with 455 and this is the second of 2 475 singles. All after warmups. 1x255 for 15 and 1x315 for 12. I refuse to die before I can pull 500 for 1. I’m hoping in a few more weeks. That may not impress everybody but it’s a lot for me and I worked hard for it.

When I started back 8 years go after the Lord delivered me from bondage to alcohol (again), I had a huge beer belly, double chin, was outta breath walking across the house and 2 sets of body weight squats had me so sore, I literally could barely move.

Good on you, Tiribulus.

Nice work Tirib!

Congrats on ridding yourself of alcohol Tirib!
I managed 222kg/489lbs trap bar deadlift the other day.

500 pounds!!!
Skipped the lighter warmup set after the bike for a few minutes and a light machine set and went from 315 for 12 straight to 500. I was actually goin for 495, but my man in the bright orange shoes stuck the other 2.5’s on there when I wasn’t lookin and he wasn’t takin no for an answer. He was right. This is the second of 2 500 pound singles.

Thanks btw guys. I’ve been sooper busy and Fletch, I’ve been meaning to try to get a hold of you.

Pretty poor really. Maxed out at 105kg on the squat the other day. Bench is similar (last session for 8x2x90kg).

Max squat ever 140kg.
