No one asked for a whole photo album, but I greatly doubt that the person who writes the posts you do has built themselves up to the degree as the person you used in that avatar pic.

But hey, anything is possible.

Writes post like I do? This is part entertainment to me. If you think for a second that people present their true personalities and beliefs on an internet message board, I’m questioning your credentials DOC.

I present mine. Whether you do or not is your own business. My responses are not for some made up persona. This is how I think. Whether I say this or not would depend on whether I met you in the gym or in the office. Outside of the office I don’t hold my tongue and would say what I write here directly to any of you.

Considering where the internet is headed in terms of development, those who think their written words hold absolutely no long term repercussions or that “it is just entertainment” may be in for a surprise.

Likewise, when the discussions go into a direction that could affect the careers of others (like in that thread CT started about Amit, as innocent as some responses may have been), you would think some people would have the sense to use some tact.

Apparently, that is just too much to ask.

Some of you think everything is a game.

The rest of us believe in what we do strongly and aren’t playing around at all times.

Once again you didn’t answer the original question I asked. WHY ARE EVEN NOTICING WHAT THE TEENIE BOPPERS ON THE GYM ARE DOING!!! If you are so hardcore, you be banging out your sets and be gone!!! Your a part of the silly frenzy as well x. I bet you watch TMZ…LOL

Wait, so when I posted what this thread is about…again, you didn’t understand that this meant the thread is NOT about what other people are doing/wearing in the gym but about what the people on this site are doing in terms of intensity?

You really needed for me to spell it out like this?

This simply cruised over your head before this?

You’re like an imp. You don’t even have the skills to qualify as “troll” yet.[/quote]

Not quite, just trying to figure out why someone who is SOO HARDCORE works out in a pussified gym. Go to a hardcore joint! Case closed. You won’t do that though, I bet you feel strong next to the tennie boppers that show their abs in the mirror.

I did my first couple years in a home gym, and it worked pretty well. Overall though, I prefer working in a real gym with the full range of equipment. I got bored working out in isolation. I rarely talk to anyone, but I find that just being around other people working toward the same goals is motivating.

Ditto. I also get motivated by the fact it feels like most of the guys are bigger than me. But oddly enough, it doesn’t look like any of them have gotten any bigger since I joined in July. I think I have better work ethic than 90% of the people there despite them having better physiques. I’m confident I’ll pass them up within a couple years.

I understand that. It takes a certain kind of person to be able to kill themselves in isolation. But, just remember that when you are waiting for the squat rack while some dill-weed is doing arm curls in it with the Olympic bar!

All you are doing is flaming slimthugger. The thread concerns members of this site and not people at the gym. It seems you have missed out entirely on the purpose of this thread; in relation to T-Nation members. Your going way off tangent in more ways then one.

Slimthugger never cares about what’s in the thread or what the purpose of the OP was. He just finds one random thing to respond to and starts an argument that he always loses.

I was quite right with this one, which is why bloated X never answered. He shouldn’t be working out at a gym were people have so called “pussy-itis” period. Looks like you’re in the same boat he is. I’m lovin it.

He already explained this once. Damn Slimthugger, you really suck at this, don’t you?

?

Dunno about sweating, I sweat from the legs, pits, back of neck slightly… yet i’ve never been a big sweater. It takes a few hrs of jiu jitsu at 100% to cause me to be dripping sweat.

I guess I have some things I need to change then

Every time I finish training legs, like I just this minute did, I’m reminded of why so few people make the progress they could be.

I’ve broken bones, had serious burns, lacerations and 2 concussions. I don’t know if anything hurts worse than a truly balls to the wall set of 20 rep squats.

try a set of 40

and looking at the giant fuggin welt on my hand i can tell you, burns hurt a whole lot more.

Pffffff

try a set of 80

My body is a giant fuggin welt.

You suck at being hardcore.

I just laid out a few hundred bucks to join a new gym that’s 45 minutes away (35 more than my ‘old’ one)

because you:

a) think it’s disgusting that I have to wipe the sweat off the bench between sets

b) think it’s annoying that I discreetly use chalk so the bar doesn’t slip out of my sweaty hands during deadlifts and RDL’s

c) think it’s annoying that I even DO deadlifts

d) think I’m on something because I added 3+ inches to my arms this year and looking +1 more in the face (BCAA’s are not steroids you retarded bosu bitch)

e) don’t understand how I’m dripping more sweat in the locker room after ‘back day’ than you when you are just walking out of the goddammed sauna you old fat homo. (oh, sorry, that was a little personal)

lol dude i work at a ballys and i dont even get shit.

i used to when the old GM was there though he bitched about me doing rack pulls and i was like well when i signed up they said we could make noise and throw plates. i wouldnt have signed up if that wasnt said to me.

ME
6:00 pm
230 lbs
+2 lbs clothes
+4 lbs water bottle

7:00 pm
231 lbs
+3 lbs clothes & sweat
+0 lbs water bottle

YOU
sip & spritz from a 250ml bottle of evian
(cause you wouldn’t want your gear to get all sweaty & wrecked)

YOU…
either ‘wing it’ every workout & get nowhere, or do 5x5 & stop, no matter how you’re feeling.

I…
have more success keeping a log than when I don’t, but I’m working hard enough that my handwriting looks like Grandma’s just turned on her vibrator.
