Pussy-itis, Do You Have It?

I personally wish I could find a true hardcore gym, one in which you either have to show some progress, commit to a purpose or a trial period for beginners. NO tv’s, top 40 shit music, I can even do without mirrors in every wall, maybe they could have a “posing corner” for those who need it… at least until I build my own…

you’re right, because at 5’11 and 200lbs, you’re a fucking monster yourself.

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with how big or small I am, it’s about the efforts that we put at the gym and if we’re there to leave sweat and blood to see results, OR to be pretty, look good and admire our abs with some shadow boxing in between. Is the thread called “How monstrous are you?”

Now go back to picking your fucking nose, try to read the thread from the beginning again or go to the mall to get another Affliction shirt.

BTW, I’m 210 now :stuck_out_tongue:

He does back flips, so it must be true.

It says you weigh 180lb at 5’11 in your profile stats. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but were you being sarcastic when you said that?
That’s mostly because I came back from wrestling season. A lot easier to gain weight after a period of a lot less eating.

I am trying to get to 200 lbs by the middle of August though. Let’s see how that goes.

-When I finish my heaviest set, I am out of breath.

When you finish your set, you:
a) Feel refreshed.
b) Feel giddy.
c) Feel like turning to the next page of that really good book.
d) Call that girl from last night and use the bench as a phone booth.

-When I lift, I am training far outside of my comfort zone and have to really push to get that last rep.

When you lift, you:
a) Wonder whether that girl on the exercise bike thinks one 25lbs plate on each side looks really sexy.
b) See someone bigger than you, mutter, “steroids” and then finish up with 50 reps of nothing but the bar.
c) Pull your Affliction T-shirt up to your chin 40 times an hour so that you, the people standing next you and that partially cute girl at the front counter can check out your amazing abs of steal that you have masterfully attached to your 156lbs physique.
d) Stop in between each set to shadow box 6 inches in front of the mirror and 1 inch in front of the dumbbell rack.

I am just trying to figure out where everyone stands.

Could someone let me know if sweat is out of style now? I hate being out of fashion at the gym.
The bigger question is: Why do many of you guys notice or care what someone else is doing? I go to the rack where nobody is and lift. I couldn’t tell you what the teenie boppers in the gym are wearing and DON’T CARE.

er? I’m 5’7", 185. Anyway I’m well aware of my current beginner status as far as weight lifting - i was referring to these other guys who probably don’t even look like they lift talking about how hardcore/badass they are when it comes to training.

DING DING DING DING!!! Right answer, you win!! It was a trick question!!

Crap, I just added to the fire…

Alright, I’m done. I don’t mean to hijack.
becuase half the people on here want to pipe up and shove their head up prof x’s ass all the while exclaiming ‘omg omg omg, look at me, im fucking hardcore too! i lift weights and can say ‘hypertrophy’ ten times fast!’

‘ooooh, those affliction shirts that holymac wears sometimes are sooooo gay’

well fucking awesome. i’m glad you’ve taken a few moments from ‘being intense’ to notice what i’m wearing.

i think the majority of posters in this thread need to A.)take a deep breath B.)stop trying to flex their nuts.

The answer is B!

What do I win?

Thank God - someone needed to say it. When I first posted I was going to bring up the point that if anyone else had made the thread it’d probably have a lot less activity and more delegative. Instead, we had the “alpha” member whose nuts everyone tried to stroke.

And then it turned into a thread about fashion (LAME.)

And then it turned into a thread about sweating.

And now it’s turned into a thread about bitching?

HolyMacaroni, does this mean you would like to have all those heads shoved up yours??

I don’t think the OP’s point was that “let’s all bitch about annoying people at the gym.” There is a squat-rack curl thread for that.

That’s the way the thread went, though. Belongs in the get a life section now.
