They’re cheap as hell, 600 caps for 23 bucks (360 mg EPA+DHA per cap), and I know consumerlab’s testing on them came up acceptably, so I was wondering if anybody had personal experience with their fish oil 1200mg caps? Thanks much!
If they are safe according to consumer labs, what is the question?
They are cheap.
They are fish oil.
That’s not much DHA/EPA per cap, so they may not be as good of a deal as you think.
I work for Vitamin World, a subsidiary of Nature’s Bounty (who also manufacture’s for Puritan’s Pride) and aside from scoring well with consumer labs they’ve won manufacturer of the year a couple times. Anyway, it’s good as far as meeting label claims.
Incidentally, we carry a ‘super omega-3’ with 500mg of EPA/DHA per 1000mg softgell (I use this one), so I imagine that Puritan’s Pride may carry one as well as there is a lot of carry over between the product lines.
I am currently taken theirs. I think mine is called Super EPA. I have tried others, but with the price and the quality of their products, it is hard to beat. I really like their Green Source Multivitamin w/o Iron, real nice replacement for GNC MegaMan, IMHO.
