You will always have more people who doubt you than those who do not . You can’t go around WASTING TIME trying to prove all of them wrong. Your actions…results will carry far more weight than your words ever will. [/quote]
well when you say a pull down is better than a pull up i think you need to be told to shut up, ask any experienced lifter which exercise is better, pull ups will be said everytime. Pull downs are great too, i dont think they should be in versus match, lets use both exercise, both are great, but if one was to come out on top for being the best it is the pull up, and thats the end of story

Tell me you are joking and can’t be serious? You credibility is seriously in question if this is the case.
Over the years, you have posted hundreds and hundreds of times on the benefits of pullups and how they are far auperior, now you are suddenly switching up your stance?
I know a few people who think pull downs are superior to pullups. A personal trainer co-worker of mine doesnt like them, and I know it is because he uses constant tension for everything, and for him to do constant tension pullups and get even 8 reps he would have to be able to do 15 or more good regular pullups.
Pullups are the only exercise where, right off the bat, you have to be pretty damn strong to do even 1.
Deadlifts and squats and the like are hard but you can do those exercises with 15lbs if you want. With Pullups its like learning to deadlift or squat with 225. At first it is going to seem so awkward and hard that it would seem you would never be able to do them right, and decide they are just no good for your bodytype.
There are also people who are good at pullups but just like pullups better. The fact is, they are both great exercises and 1 or both should be used, when appropriate. If I had to pick 1 I would pick pullups just because you can lose that ability much easier than you can pullups.
Kind of like even if you are not doing lunges but you are squatting, when you go do to lunges you will probably do pretty well, but it doesnt work the same the other way around…

I’ve sold out to the various companies that make Pull-down machines. They’re paying me vast sums of money to stop at each lifting web site and talk about the many benefits of Pull-downs.
Okay?
But seriously, I’m just having some fun, I hope I didn’t scare anyone.
