Kid, I knew Wanderlei Silva, and you are no Wanderlei Silva.
Yes,I know. And you also taught Dan Severn wrestling.
BTW,are you that military guy that posted about hand-to-hand combat in war?
Not that I remember. I spend most of my time here talking about sport fighting in one form or another.
And I never said I fought alongside Wanderlei, let alone taught him shit. I’m just saying he’s no psychopath. You bought the hype.
Lets assume there is a continuum of personality traits. On one extreme you have saints,on the other psychopaths.Somewhere in the middle you find the average person.
Where would you put most successful fighters on that continuum?
Wouldnt their drive, egocentrism, ambition, calllousness & high seensation seeking put them closer to psychopaths?
Anyway, not claiming anything,I just observed that most fighters I personaly know=bouncers, boxers, wrestlers, streetfighters(very rare breed ) are more psychopathic than normal people. They are certainly no killers or without any empathy, but they might be partially psychopathic.
First, your premise is wrong. There is no “continuum” of psychopathy. What used to be diagnosed as psychopathy is a disorder, and it is either present or absent.
Second, your “observations” of fighters are not clinical, and you are not a mental health professional qualified to diagnose them even if you could get them into a neutral clinical setting where you could honestly and objectively evaluate them.
QED, your conclusion that fighters are “partially psychopathic” is complete bullshit.
And that’s the last time I’m going to point it out.
