Protein for the Lactose Intolerant?

Hey Guys,

I’ve been taking protein powders from a number of brands and they all seem to leave me farting uncontrollably all the time.

Sometimes I get upset stomachs when I take more than one shake! This is not a good thing when impressing the ladies.

I have heard the Metabolic Drive proteins are pretty good for people who are lactose. Anyone else have experience with them?

BTW I’m looking for a protein that is low in carbs.

DG

Metabolic Drive is the only way to go for me. I switched to a couple of different brands, for a couple of days when I ran out and my stomach was killing me.

i’m lactose intolerant also - Metabolic Drive works for me! with others, i have to resort to lactose enzymes.

i’ve been using oryx goat whey and have had none of the problems with gas and bloating. goat milk is supposedly much better for you than cow’s milk. it’s much closer to human milk and provides better absorbtion. i get the vanilla and it tastes great to me.

Like the others, I’m lactose intolerant and don’t have any problems with Metabolic Drive.

It’s the best protein I’ve used. Most often I go with chocolate or vanilla, but I’ll switch it up on occasion and order one of the fruit flavors.

Metabolic Drive is a great option. Another choice is Optimum Nutrition, who is one the few brands that puts lactase enzyme in their whey.

optimum nutrition did away with the gas for me - i am also intolerant

This past week I bought a couple of bottles of Optimum just to see what everyone’s talking about. Well, I ended up returning them because I couldn’t stand the taste. Good thing Vitamin shoppe accepts returns.

Seriously, how can you guys stomach this stuff? It wasn’t even close to being as good as Metabolic Drive.

I have been using Hemp protein, but I am tempted to try Metabolic Drive if I have a long weekend.

I am very intollerant

What version and flavor did you get? In my experience, ON has been one brand thats been consistently good with most flavors- I’ve tried so many others over the past 5-6 years. I’ve heard their ‘Classic’ and ‘Natural’ whey lines aren’t as good as others.
